The Milligan team will be taking a short break over the July school holidays for some much-needed rest and recharge time.

We will be closed from 𝐌𝐨𝐧𝐝𝐚𝐲 𝟔 𝐉𝐮𝐥𝐲 𝐭𝐨 𝐌𝐨𝐧𝐝𝐚𝐲 𝟏𝟑 𝐉𝐮𝐥𝐲, and will reopen on 𝐓𝐮𝐞𝐬𝐝𝐚𝐲 𝟏𝟒 𝐉𝐮𝐥𝐲.

This time away allows our team to return refreshed and ready to continue supporting our community.

🏡✨ Downsizing & Decluttering Workshop at Milligan ✨🏡

We’re excited to be partnering with the City of Bunbury Waste Education team to host a practical workshop presented by Amanda Farr.

Whether you’re moving house, downsizing, helping a loved one transition into care, or simply wanting to clear out some clutter, this session will provide simple and realistic strategies to help make the process feel less overwhelming.

You’ll learn:
🌿 Easy ways to start decluttering
♻️ How to responsibly donate, recycle, re-purpose or give away unwanted items
🏠 Practical tips for downsizing and simplifying your space

This thoughtful, hands-on workshop is designed to help reduce waste while creating more ease and clarity at home 💛

We'll be closing at 4pm today and will be heading along to the VSW Volunteer of the Year Awards Night to celebrate the incredible people who give their time, care and energy to our community ❤️

At Milligan, volunteers are such an important part of what makes this place feel welcoming and connected. From sharing a conversation over coffee, helping at events, supporting community activities, or simply showing up for others — every act of kindness makes a difference.

We’re so grateful for all of our wonderful volunteers and the care they bring into our community each day.

🌿 Compost Made Easy at Milligan 🌿

We’re excited to be partnering with the City of Bunbury Waste Education team & Wink Lindsay Aquila FoodForest to host a hands-on workshop all about composting!

If you’ve ever wondered how to turn your kitchen scraps and garden waste into nutrient-rich compost (without the overwhelm), this session is for you. You’ll learn simple, practical ways to reduce waste, improve your soil, and make the most of what you already have at home.

It’s a great opportunity to pick up some easy tips, ask questions, and connect with others interested in living a little more sustainably 🌼
