Another Christmas event complete! 🌲✅
For those who don’t know, this event is run and organised by the Bullseye Youth Committee, a group of young people aged 12 to 20 who go to school, work, and study. They meet on Mondays from 3:30 PM to 5:30 PM to plan events like this and advocate for young people and the community of Bullsbrook. The committee has been planning the 2024 Christmas event since February—11 months of Christmas on the brain!
The Bullsbrook Community Christmas event has been held at Brookbank Park (Kingsford) for previous years, but as the community grew, more entertainment and stalls were needed. So, the committee chose to return to where the Christmas event started, back when BRRA was organising them, at Pickett Park. Moving locations was a big risk, as the Bullseye Youth Committee hadn’t been apart of an event at Pickett Park since 2020.
Despite a few hiccups regarding the layout on the day, the committee remained calm and handled whatever came their way! 😊
A massive congratulations to the Bullseye Youth Committee for pulling this event off and bringing something positive to the community! Keira, Kayla, Rhianna, Josh, Ella, Blaike, Gemma, Zeva, and Josie, you are all amazing, and Bullsbrook is lucky to have young leaders like you in the community. 🌟
Shout out to the young volunteers we recruited to help out on the day: Jordan, Noah, Sebastian, Maddi, and Savannah—we appreciate you all! 🤩
Thank you so much to all the community groups, market holders, entertainers, food vendors, and the public for coming out to support this event.
A big thank you to BRRA, Chalice, Bullsbrook Oldies, Kingsford, and Heath from Harcourts for contributing funding and resources to make this event possible.
Hopefully we see you next year!
Enjoy some pictures of the event, planning, and setting up.
More will be posted once we receive the photos from the photographer.
