Hey Club friends - these days we’re more connected than ever, yet so many of us feel alone. So tomorrow [ Wednesday 17th June] be part of something simple but powerful. National Day of Connection is about taking a moment to reach out to a friend, a colleague, someone who needs it.

🙏🏼📿Sadly we share with you the passing of one of our regular participants Lousie. Louise was a lovely, gentle lady who made friends with all our regular players. She enjoyed coming to the nights and the socialising at supper after the games.
Louise will be sadly missed by all the players.
🙏🏼📿 We send our hugs and condolences to all the DiGiusto family at this very sad time.
R.I.P. Louise 🙏🏼📿

🙏Sharing the sad news on the passing of Maria Barro.
📿🙏sending our hugs and love to Fred & Alba Barro and all the Barro family

It is with a heavy heart that we announce the passing of Maria Barro (Silvestrini) on 13.06.2026.

We share a message from the family ....

It is with deep sadness that we announce the passing of our beloved Maria Barro (née Silvestrini).
Place of birth Camalò, Veneto, Italy.
12/12/1929 ~ 13/6/2026
Reunited with her cherished husband, the late Oreste, Maria was the adored mother of Adrian and Fred, and a loving mother-in-law to their wives.
She was the incredibly proud grandmother of Nova, Troy, Justin, and Leanne, and her heart overflowed with joy for her great-grandchildren, Grayson, Ellie, Jet, and Milla.
Maria and Oreste were pillars of the Veneto Club Bulleen, where Oreste was a Foundation and Committee member, and Maria dedicated her time and love to the Ladies Auxiliary, forming lifelong friendships. They were also devoted, long-time members of Trevisani Nel Mondo Melbourne, always bringing warmth to every community event.
A truly blessed life, beautifully lived.
Rest in eternal peace, Mamma and Nonna Maria.

Bringing another iconic Melbourne / Italian docu-movie to the Veneto Club Bulleen. SI PARLA ITALIANO.
If you hung out in Lygon street in the late 70s and 80s when it was the only place to be if you were a "wog" and proud of it - this is the film you must see. Angelo Pricolo and his crew have put together another stunning tribute to the Italian migration to Melbourne and our contribution to multicultural socierty.

🎬 SI PARLA ITALIANO 🎬

Following the success of Signorinella, Veneto Club Bulleen is proud to present another acclaimed film by Director Angelo Pricolo — Lygon Street: Si Parla Italiano 🇮🇹

📅 Wednesday 19th August

“Si Parla Italiano” translates to “Italian is spoken” — a powerful documentary exploring post-WWII Italian migration to Melbourne and how Italian immigrants transformed Lygon Street into Australia’s iconic “Little Italy”, forever shaping Australia’s culinary and cultural landscape.

The documentary became a festival favourite and was the second highest-grossing Australian documentary of 2013.

A nostalgic, heartfelt and proudly Italian-Australian story not to be missed.

💛 Women’s Circle Event Summary : Tuesday 9 June 2026💛
The Women's Circle at the Veneto Club Bulleen welcomed Tom Mason for an eye opening and surprisingly entertaining session on HOW SAFE — OR UNSAFE - ARE WE REALLY ONLINE❓
💛With his charismatic charm and certified geek energy, Tom broke down the tricks and tactics scammers use over the phone, by text, and through email. He shared practical, easy to follow tips to help us protect ourselves, spot red flags, and stay one step ahead of the ever evolving world of online scams.
💛What made the night special was Tom’s ability to translate all the “tech stuff” into clear, relatable language. Our ladies left feeling more confident, more informed, and definitely more vigilant.
💛A big thank you to Tom — your geekiness was genuinely delightful, and your guidance has empowered us to safeguard ourselves in an increasingly digital world.
