🐝 Buzzing with excitement this World Bee Day! 🐝

Earlier this week, our children enjoyed a special visit from A Green Soul Native Bees, learning all about the importance of caring for Australian native bees.

The children observed a stingless bee observation hive up close, learnt how honey is made, and discovered the important role bees play in keeping people and the planet healthy.

It was a wonderful hands on experience that sparked curiosity, encouraged respect for the environment, and reminded us how even the smallest creatures make a big difference. 🌿🍯

After 15 years of dedicated service, we farewell, Christine, our office administrator, a truly valued member of our kindergarten community. 💚🧡

We want to thank her for her commitment, and hard work and care which have played a significant role in shaping the wonderful centre we have today.

She has been the welcoming face for so many families, always greeting everyone with warmth and ensuring they felt supported and valued. Behind the scenes, her efficiency and organisation have kept the centre running so smoothly.

She will be greatly missed by staff, children, and families alike. We thank her most sincerely for everything she has given to our community and wish her all the very best in your next chapter. 🌳🧡💚

🍃✨ Nature Play & Stay ✨🍃

Last week, we enjoyed our annual Nature Play & Stay mornings, and what a beautiful time it was! Our children had so much fun creating with natural treasures like leaves, sticks, bark and flowers 🌿🌸

These hands on experiences invite children to slow down, explore and create, while building a deeper connection with the world around them. Through nature play, children grow in their appreciation, respect and care for the environment 🌏💚

Last week we were delighted to welcome a visit from Reverse Garbage 🗑️ ♻️ The children had so much fun exploring recycled materials and turning them into something new for our Kindy rooms.

Using items such as cling wrap cylinders, bottle lids and other reclaimed materials, the children created wonderful pieces including a colourful rainbow mobile and a superhero sculpture that are now proudly displayed in our learning spaces.

At Bulimba Community Kindy, sustainability is woven throughout our everyday experiences. Loose parts play is an important part of our program, encouraging children to use their imagination, problem solve and see the potential in everyday materials.

A big thank you to Reverse Garbage for visiting our Kindy and inspiring our young creators! 🌏✨

We are incredibly proud to share some exciting news with our Bulimba Kindy families and community. 💚

Following our most recent assessment in 2025 under the National Quality Standards, Bulimba Community Kindergarten has once again been rated Exceeding National Quality Standard. 🧡

The National Quality Framework sets a high benchmark for early childhood education across Australia, assessing services across seven key quality areas. We have been assessed and rated in 2012, 2018 and now again in 2025, and each time, we have achieved an overall rating of Exceeding. 💙

This recognition reflects the dedication, professionalism and heart of our educators, the strength of our play based learning approach, and the wonderful partnerships we share with our families. ❤️
