Today we celebrate 6 incredible years in business, and what a journey it has been! 💙

Access Community is so much more than a company it’s the amazing people who make it what it is every single day.

To our incredible staff, thank you for the heart, care, patience and dedication you bring to every shift. The work you do genuinely makes a difference, and we are so lucky to have such an amazing team.

To our participants and their families, thank you for trusting us, welcoming us into your lives and allowing us to be part of your journeys. You are the reason we do what we do, and watching you achieve goals, create memories and live life your way is what makes this job so special. 💙

And of course, a huge congratulations to Renae and Ryan. What you have built over the past six years is something to be incredibly proud of , the heart and soul you pour into Access Community never goes unnoticed. Your staff and participants aren’t just numbers you genuinely care about every single person who is part of this company, and that is what makes Access Community so special.

Yarramalong Scarecrow Trail! 🤠🌻

Community access is about so much more than just getting out of the house , it’s about trying new things, exploring our local community, building confidence and, most importantly, having a bit of fun along the way!

Dan loved checking out all the weird and wonderful scarecrows and enjoying a beautiful day out in the countryside. 💙

Bayley and Dan the Man spent the day out on the beautiful Brisbane Waters, learning the ropes of boating! 🛥️

Dan had the opportunity to learn how to drive the boat, understand the different markers boaters use on the water just like road signs on the road and take in all the amazing scenery along the way. 🌊⚓️

A day full of learning, new experiences, confidence building and plenty of smiles! 💙

With warmer weather just around the corner, we can’t wait to see more of our participants getting out and about, soaking up the sunshine and kicking goals! ☀️💙

But a little cold weather has never stopped Ryan and Steve! These two are always out on an adventure, no matter the forecast hiking, exploring our beautiful coastline and building confidence along the way. 🌊🥾

It’s not just about reaching the destination , it’s about building independence, confidence and creating great memories along the way.

A message from our amazing support worker, Jenna 💙

“One of the greatest parts of my job is watching our participants take that brave first step beyond their comfort zone and then seeing them light up as they realise what they’re capable of. This weekend, I had the privilege of watching Kerry do exactly that.

Being in a space filled with people who truly understood her journey made such a difference. Every person there had lived through a stroke and was now navigating life with aphasia, and that shared experience created an atmosphere that felt warm, safe and deeply encouraging.

From gentle yoga stretches and bush walks to lively group games, singing, and heartfelt conversations over shared stories, it was wonderful to see Kerry grow more confident with each passing moment. Watching her smile, join in, and connect so naturally with others who understood her experience so well was incredibly moving.

Hearing everyone’s stories the challenges they’ve faced, the strength they’ve shown, and the lives they continue to build, was both inspiring and humbling. Weekends like this remind me exactly why I do what I do. There is nothing more rewarding than seeing someone find their footing, build real connections, and enjoy moments they may once have thought were out of reach”
