The Logan City Community Cadet Unit made our Commanding Officer, LTCOL (LCCC) Trevor Schulze, extremely proud this 2026 ANZAC Day.
The professionalism, discipline, and respect demonstrated by our cadets throughout the day were of the highest standard. Our young men and women proudly represented the unit across three separate locations and also assisted with ANZAC Day ceremonies at two local schools within the community.
Their dedication to service, leadership, and remembrance reflects the core values of the cadet unit and highlights the positive contribution young people can make within our community. We commend every cadet who participated and thank them for their commitment and outstanding conduct on such an important occasion.

The Logan City Community Cadet Unit continues to provide young people aged 11 to 17 with valuable opportunities to develop leadership skills, confidence, discipline, teamwork, and community spirit in a supportive and rewarding environment.
We warmly encourage any young people interested in personal growth, community service, and new challenges to consider joining our unit and becoming part of something meaningful.

I would like to congratulate all of our new recruits who successfully completed the November Trials. They have shown discipline, and enthusiasm during their trials in the unit, and they should be very proud of themselves. Parents, you have made the right decision in giving your children the opportunity to step out of their comfort zone and develop valuable life skills.
We also warmly welcome new recruits who did not have the opportunity to complete the Trials and those who are just waiting for the New Year to arrive before enlisting their child into our 1.26 Recruit Course in January 2026.

The Logan City Community Cadet Unit (LCCCU) held the unit’s Mixed Dining-In Night in the Gala Room at the Greenbank Services Club on Saturday 22nd November 2025. The VIPs included Mayor Jon Raven, Mr Stewart Rae, President of the Greenbank RSL Sub-Branch and Mr Alterator of the Logan Village RSL.
The Greenbank Services Club, together with the Greenbank RSL Sub-Branch very generously supported the occasion, along with the Parent Support Group having undertaken extensive fundraising to make it affordable for our members and families.
The night was conducted in line with Military protocol and ceremony. For most of our cadets and families, it was a new and memorable experience while for our Commanding Officer LTCOL (LCCCU) Schulze and some veterans attending, it was a moving reminder of Defence Force tradition.

What a fantastic morning at the Logan City Community Cadet Unit – Browns Plains Depot on Fern Street.
We had an awesome turnout of keen boys and girls eager to see what being a cadet is all about. Our visitors got to enjoy a mini “show” of military-style skills, learn how our cadets use knots to build a sturdy wooden table, and take part in a short lesson on weapon safety — plus, the gel blaster experience was a definite highlight!
A big thank you to everyone who came along and made our Open Day such a success.
If you missed out, don’t worry — you’re invited to our Wednesday Trials on November 12th, 19th, and 26th. Come see what makes our unit great and get a taste of the cadet experience!
