Do you know your options regarding the recent Supported Independent Living (SIL) changes?
Recent NDIS reforms mean that all SIL providers will be required to be registered with the NDIS Quality and Safeguards Commission. These changes will commence on 1 July 2026, with SIL providers required to be registered or have applied for registration by 1 October 2026. Importantly, participant funding and supports do not automatically change because of these reforms.
If you currently receive SIL supports and are unsure what these changes mean for you, now is the time to start asking questions and exploring your options.
As a registered NDIS provider, RCS offers a range of supports including Supported Independent Living (SIL), Assistance with Daily Living Supports, Community Access and Medium and Short-Term Accommodation (MTA & STA). We've helped many participants successfully transition home after both short and lengthy hospital stays, providing the right support every step of the way.
Whether you're currently living in a SIL arrangement, considering a move or simply wanting to understand how the changes may affect you, our team is here to help you navigate your options and make informed decisions about your supports. https://www.realcommunityservices.com.au/contact
