OPPORTUNITY BELOW >>>

From Cherie Heslington, Chief Executive Officer at Aarnja

The First Nations Foundation team are heading to Karratha on July 16-17 to deliver our Train the Trainer program.

The program is a 2-day workshop that empowers community workers, financial counsellors, and trusted leaders in the community to deliver our Financial Fitness program to mob.

During the training, the team will take all participants through a journey of truth-telling, allowing us to recognise and understand the systemic barriers our mob faced in financial and economic participation and education. This removes any shame or guild around our current financial knowledge and allows us to create safe space for learning and connecting.

The program is completely free for those joining from a not-for-profit, community workers, grassroots organisation participants, elders and trusted sharers of knowledge in the community and financial counsellors. The program includes:

Accommodation for 1-2 nights (if you need to travel more than 1 hour to make it to the program)
Cultural activity (weaving, beading or painting)
Catering (morning tea, lunch and afternoon tea on both on training days)
Access to FNF’s On Country Mentor resource portal including facilitation materials
Workshop venue
All pre-training requirements and impact surveys
Certificate of accreditation
On-going support from FNF while you deliver the program in community

There are 30 spots available in the program.

To register for the program, please complete the EOI HERE. https://events.humanitix.com/fnf-s-train-the-trainer-or-karratha Once you complete the EOI, our team will be in contact within 1-2 weeks to confirm your attendance and provide more information. Please feel free to share the registration to anyone you think would benefit from being able to deliver the Financial Fitness program out to our mob in community. The more people we have involved, the better!

Expressions of Interest are open for First Nations Foundation’s (FNF) 2 day Financial Fitness Mentors training in Karratha!

We appreciate you, Senator Varun Ghosh. Thank you for your commitment to participating in our Forum, we really value your commitment to being there across the three days and we hope this only marks the start of a collaboration with you to strengthen KRACLN's remote communities.

I was honoured to attend a meeting of the Kimberley Remote Aboriginal Community Leaders’ Network last week.

KRACLN acts as a collective voice, enabling communities to share knowledge and work together to improve the lives of people living in remote communities.

Forum collaborator appreciation post #1. In no particular order, we would like to highlight some of the amazing collaborators that made our 2026 Forum extra meaningful.

Today we want to pay homage to the wise, academic, insightful and inspiring Patricia Torres of Mayi Harvests who lead our Welcome to Country ceremony. Please take the time to explore Aunty Pat's website to explore her teachings of the powers and wisdom of native plant medicine and more. https://lnkd.in/gkcWNN32

With love from the KRACLN team.
