We are looking forward to seeing everyone tomorrow (Thursday 4th June from 9am) for a doubly delightful Wanggarralanga Ngan-ga HIPPY Jamurr PLAYGROUP.

Liz and Kamisa will be presenting Building Babies Brains for our parents and carers. Discover how your child's brain grows and develops, how they play. Unpack why movement, songs and everyday interactions support this development in the Early Years. Let's continue giving all our children the best foundations for life-long success.

The HIPPY, Early Years and Language Team will also be providing a celebration of activities in Playgroup with Reconciliation Week as a key theme! This is a special time in Australia when children learn about and celebrate the cultures, histories, and contributions of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples while exploring respect, understanding, and unity.

Sharing our story, learning together ๐Ÿ—ฃ๏ธ๐ŸŒฑโœจ

Nyamba Buru Yawuru was proudly welcomed onto Whadjuk Boodjar to be part of the Land Estate Learning Exchange Program, where Scott Downsborough joined Wynston Shovellor and 10 other T.O groups from around WA to share our journey in estate planning on Yawuru Buru and the establishment of the Yawuru Estate Strategy.

It was great to sit alongside other Aboriginal organisations, listen, learn and yarn about the challenges and opportunities we all share. Days like this remind us of how far we have come since determination, the strength in coming together, supporting each other, and important role we can play in building a strong future for all our communities.

๐Ÿ“š๐Ÿ’› What a beautiful morning celebrating the launch of *Janigun*! ๐Ÿ’›๐Ÿ“š

Today we were so proud to welcome so many children, families, community members and stakeholders to the official launch of our Yawuru childrenโ€™s picture book, *Janigun*, at Mabu Yawuru Ngan-ga Language Centre.

The morning was filled with storytelling, creativity, laughter and community spirit as families gathered to celebrate Yawuru language and early childhood learning together. It was wonderful to see the children enjoying the live reading, activities and illustration session with talented Yawuru wamba Brenton ESZRA McKenna - Graphic Novelist

A huge thank you to Magabala Books for publishing this special book, to Mabu Yawuru Ngan-ga for hosting us, and to Brenton E McKenna for bringing *Janigun* to life through his incredible illustrations, and the Better Beginnings program for the financial support to create this beautiful early years resource.

We also proudly acknowledge the NBY Early Years team for their support and contribution to making this celebration such a special and successful event.

Most importantly, we acknowledge and thank Yawuru elders and the Yawuru Language Team for their ongoing dedication to keeping Yawuru language strong for future generations.

Gala mabu (thank you) to everyone who joined us to celebrate this very special milestone for our community. ๐ŸŒŠโœจ
