DOES someone in your family have dementia? Broome Community Resource Centre is hosting a session by Dementia Australia for family members and family carers, called EDIE for Family Carers.
Using virtual reality technology, participants will be able to see the world through the eyes of a person living with dementia. You will gain knowledge in the perspective and needs of a person living with dementia, effective communication and environmental changes to support a person to live well with dementia.

Broome Community Resource Centre is offering free self-paced, self-guided tuition to help you learn to use your device, avoid scams and safely navigate the digital world.
You’ll have free use of our facilities, any help or support you need, and be in the running to win a free Apple iPad or Samsung tablet.

Your Community Resource Centre can help you with all sorts of technology problems. We specialise in helping with smart phones and tablets, email and accounts. Fixing issues, setting up and transferring data to new phones, and ensuring your precious photos and files are backed up and safe.
We also offer an inexpensive meeting room, assistance with on-line forms, printing, WiFi, videoconferencing and more. We adjoin the Broome Visitor Centre on Male Oval, so drop in and let us help!

If you are thinking about starting a business, but don't know where to begin, these FREE workshops by Business Foundations will take you through the essentials. The first workshop, Starting a Business will be at Broome CRC, Thursday 30 Jan, 9am to 12pm.

Broome Community Resource Centre (a registered charity) is starting an aged care service to link elderly people who have Home Care Packages with workers who can support them to live comfortably at home. It’s called Staying in Place.
We want workers willing to help elderly people with cleaning, gardening, transport and more. Workers sign up as independent contractors to the Mable platform, and can choose their own hours, type of work, and rates of pay.

Still needing help to get your tax done? We have finished our Tax Help service for the year, but you can get Tax Help by phone or on Teams until the end of October. Call 132861 and ask for a "Virtual Tax Help" appointment. You just need to have your myGov account and ATO service linked before you call 👍
