The legend himself - our BSLSC chairperson and all round volunteer at so many sporting clubs in Broome… Steve Pratt!

We just heard from Steve, and he smashed his goal times at the Cairns Ironman this morning and finished in high spirits 💪

Well done Steve, we’re all super proud of you - and we 100% agree with the Tri Club comments - a huge thanks to you, Emma and your family for everything you all participate in and contribute to the sports clubs and Broome community.

🔥 BTC Shout-Out to Steve Pratt ! 🔥

This weekend, one of Broome Tri Club’s true legends, Steve Pratt, is taking on the challenge of the Ironman 70.3 Cairns!

As a dedicated BTC committee member, Steve is one of the people who keeps our club running smoothly behind the scenes. Whether it’s helping organise events, supporting members, or helping the social media guy reset his password again... he’s the glue that helps hold BTC together.

As if that wasn’t enough, Steve also serves as Chairman of the Broome Surf Life Saving Club, giving countless hours back to our community!

However now it’s his turn to put all that hard work, dedication, and determination to the test over 1.9km of swimming, 90km of cycling, and 21.1km of running.

From everyone at Broome Tri Club, we wish Steve Pratt the very best as tackles Cairns this Sunday! We know he’ll represent BTC with pride and the positive spirit that makes him such a valued member of our club and community.

💙 Good luck, Steve! We’ll be cheering you on every step, pedal, and stroke of the way.

National Volunteer Week is an opportunity to celebrate the people who make our club possible. From patrols, training, Nippers and water safety, to administration and behind-the-scenes support, our club simply would not exist without the time and dedication of our volunteers.

B L U E P A T R O L
Moody, cloudy skies and a cool change marked Blue Patrol’s Sunday down the beach. It was still a busy day for the club with Nippers Lesson #1 and Nipper Sizzle in the morning, Bronze training with Carrie, the club swim and the Broome Heat crew surf boat out in the afternoon.

Setup - 745am
This week, set up and pack down duties are assigned to our Under 12s and Under 13s. Please arrive at the club sheds at 7:45am or, if the trailer is already on the beach, head down there to assist with setup.

Merchandise and bather sales - 8am - 10am
Merchandise and bathers will be available for purchase in the Clubhouse Function Room.

Nippers Week 1 Beach Activities
Arrival Time: Please arrive by 8:15am for an 8:30am start.
Location: Look for our trailer setup on the beach.

If you have not yet collected your nipper pack, cap, or vest, please visit the trailer and our team will assist you.

BBQ Helpers - 930am
This week we require a minimum of 4 helpers from the Under 6s age group. If this is your group, please consider lending a hand.

Last Sunday, it was Red Patrol’s turn to set up the flags on Cable Beach and keep an eye on beachgoers. The weather was perfect for the dry season! A big thanks to Cable Beach House for treating our volunteers to lunch. We appreciate your support.
