PACER WEEK IS BACK!!!

Chasing a PB but need a bit of help? This Saturday 13 June our pacers will be doing their best to get you round the course in 20, 22:30, 25, 27:30, 30, 32:30 and 35 minutes.

To make this happen the following volunteer roles are still available: marshalls, pre-event set up, first timers and a 32:30 pacer. Please comment below or email us at [email protected] if you can help out.

All welcome as usual to walk, jog or chase our pacers! 😁

Event #148 - WOW what a morning!

117 participants including 38 first timers enjoyed fantastic conditions at Town Beach parkrun today. A quarter of our participants ran PBs which might be a record in itself!

Congratulations to David C on 100 parkruns, Gemma B on 50 and Sam B on 25 🙌

Volunteers
We are in need of volunteers in every role this week. If you can help out, please comment below or DM us.
If everyone volunteers every few weeks or once a month, we would be able to fill every spot for the year.
All roles are relatively easy, and a briefing of the role can be done on the morning of parkrun with the run director.

Reminder message
As we come into tourist season, and there is an increase of number of people participating on our beautiful course, can we all please remember to stay left unless you are going around someone. If you are going around someone or coming to a stop, to avoid an accident and prevent near misses, make sure you look first. Please try to run in a straight line.
Parents can you also just have a quick chat to your kids about this running etiquette.

PLAN IN ADVANCE

Just a reminder that we have some major works happening in Broome. With a major road through town closed there is an increased amount of traffic on the road and a slightly extra distance to get to us, if your on the other side of town (Cable Beach, Broome North, Roebuck).

So more so for tourists, plan ahead and give yourself an extra 10-15min than what you might think you need.

Also, busses don’t run at this time, many taxis don’t run at this time (6.30am) or we had feedback that they are $$$ and e-scooters can take a while for you to get to us.
