Town Beach parkrun

A free, weekly, timed 5k event every Saturday morning at 7am. Walk, jog, run or volunteer!

Hi everybody,

Town Beach park run was attended by 116 participants, supported by 14 volunteers.

There were 31 first timers (4 in their first ever park run) and 14 PB’s achieved.

It is warming up and those not used to a tropical park run certainly appreciated the zooper dooper ice treats after participating.

Thank you to Judy, David, Carol, Sarah, Laura, Camie, Giles, Ginette, Kristy, Paddy, John, Monty and Michelle for helping make it all happen.

Once again we thank Daniel and Lisa for supplying icy zooper doopers to help everyone cool off.

Hello,
114 runners, joggers and walkers participated in Town Beach parkrun #160.

There were 37 first timers to Town Beach and 4 doing their first ever parkrun.

Volunteer Carol has completed 200 Parkruns.

It was pretty warm and humidity is building. Zooper doopers were a welcome relief at the finish line.

Being 22 day, many wore tutus.
A prize for closest to 22 minutes went to River (junior) and the prize for the 22nd participant over the line went to Judd (junior).

Thank you to all our volunteers who help keep park run happening.

Hi guys,
We perhaps need a jetty and a T intersection Marshall.

Volunteering maybe once every six or so weeks means we can fill positions easily and get to run too

Tutu 22 day.

Hope you can all make it.

Hi guys,
This week is tutu week for the 22nd August. If you feel like colouring up, wearing a tutu could be fun.

I will have a prize for 22nd runner in and 22 minutes (or nearest to) finishing time.

We still need some volunteers for priority tasks.

UPDATE- still need the crucial role of tail walker on Saturday. The event cannot run without one.

We are still in need of a tail walker and a couple of marshals for this Saturday’s parkrun. Please comment below.

Hi guys, here are a few action shots of participants in this morning’s Parkrun at Town Beach, Broome.

A lovely warm morning with lots of visitors to our run. Everyone seemed to enjoy the music at the T junction.

Just and extra barcode scanner and maybe one more marshal would be helpful for this Saturday (8/8). Comment below if you can help out.

Beyond this week - the openings are free as a bird. If there’s something you would like to volunteer for in the future just let us know.
