Exciting times - sometimes progress is a series of small, barely perceptible steps.

This week we made another leap in the ongoing journey of our RSL Hall upgrade with the completion of a boundary survey. The original pegs had long been lost, and this will allow us to confidently plan for the remaining stages of works, and for correct location of pipes for our upcoming kitchen upgrade.

This week we remember and thank Aboriginal veterans for their service and sacrifice.

For the past 20 years, the Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Veterans & Services Association of WA have held services during National Reconciliation Week to pay tribute to brave Aboriginal Soldiers who served.

A wreath has been placed at the Brookton War Memorial in honour of the many local Brookton men who served.

Floral tributes are an important traditional way of marking remembrance of our fallen.

Did you know that most of wreaths are made locally, from majority locally grown flowers. We’re very lucky to have The Honourable Florist who not only makes some of the wreaths, but also grows flowers.

And of course many of our wreaths are made with love from personal gardens.
