🚀 The new Hume Tech School has officially opened in Broadmeadows, creating exciting opportunities for young people in our community.

Cr Carly Moore, Mayor of Hume City, joined Member for Broadmeadows Kathleen Matthews-Ward MP, Kangan Institute and industry leaders to celebrate the official opening of this significant investment in STEM learning and future workforce development.

Located at Kangan Institute, the facility will give more than 20,000 students access to hands-on learning in robotics, engineering, digital technologies and advanced manufacturing 🤖⚙️💡

Hume City Council welcomes investment in initiatives that support our young people to develop the skills, knowledge and confidence they need to succeed in the jobs of the future.

By connecting students with real-world experiences and emerging industries, the Hume Tech School will help inspire the next generation of innovators and create pathways to future careers right here in our community.

For those living near and around the Nicholas St, Broadmeadows (Old Broadmeadows Primary School site) that was bought by Metricon and will be building 65 townhouses be aware that work seems to have started again. The residents went through 6-7 months of drilling, ground moving and extremely unsettling loud noise. Now they will start the build process, how long will this take is anyone's guess. But be sure the residents will again have to go through the same noise, a multitude of tradies parking in their streets and just a major disruption to their daily living. The below has been placed on the fencing so if you need to complain you have a contact name. Also remember if you are unhappy about something please contact Hume City Council and Snap, Send and Solve if you can.
