In January 2017 Samuel was awarded Young Citizen of the Year for the City of Logan, represented his Community as a Baton Bearer for the Commonwealth Games, awarded a Local Legend, was the Top 30 Local Le
gend and won the School Aid Philanthropy National Award 2020. Samuel has done many Fundraisers and helped many Charities, children in hospital, people with cancer, Animal Shelters, the Homeless and children in need. He began the Kids4Kids Fundraiser 5 years ago and with the help of the community has collected over 100,000 School Supplies and over 13 local, regional and overseas School children in need. Samuel continues his quest to help as an official Kids4Kids Foundation Ambassador.

Samuel Glancy is 12 years old and has a passion for photography and to help others, especially those that are sick or in need. Since he was 8 he has used his photography to assist in many Fundraisers that he has done. He asked his Parents for 6 months prior to starting this page as he wanted to help people.
It was Samuel’s Grandfather being diagnosed with Terminal Cancer that made him want to do his first Fundraiser which was a photography Calendar. When finding out children get Cancer and very sick he choose the Starlight Foundation as he wanted to bring smiles to those who are in hospital. Since 2016 he has sold over 100 of his own Calendars and raised $4786 on his Everyday Hero page for Starlight.
Sam has since done many other Fundraisers wanting to help others, he gave 70 packs to the Homeless helping the Fishers of Men, emptied his piggy bank for people in need, hosted his own Down Syndrome Event, helped the Animal Shelter at full capacity with blanket donations and taking photos, helped the 2017 Flood victims with blankets, participated in 'The Sam3Project' that raised over $6500 to help a little boy with health problems for his Sunshine Butterflies Account plus many other Community Fundraisers.
One of the Fundraisers he called the Kids4Kids School Supply Drive in the past three years has raised over 50,000 items for 13 local Schools in Logan as he knows that many children unfortunately don’t have their own ‘things’ for School.
In January 2017 Samuel was awarded Young Citizen of the Year for the City of Logan. He was honored with a local Legends Award and appeared on the Today Show where he was surprised and full of gratitude to be awarded for the knock of cash for his community involvement.
He has done over 20 Community Fundraising Events, 6 other Charity Organisations and raised thousands of dollars to help others. He does this on his holidays and his spare time after School but he has the most amazing support from Local Ministers, Family, Friends, his School and the Community that give him encouragement and support.
In 2018 Samuel represented his family, friends and community as a Commonwealth Games Queen Baton Bearer for 2018. He was nominated by the Logan City Council and it was a privileged, honor and amazing experience for him to carry the Baton, passing it onto the amazing Artist Dami Im.
Samuel’s goal is that he doesn’t want no child to go without.
