We are passionate about developing our participants independence and quality of life by encouraging them to achieve their goals. Claire's Cottage is a small, family operated NDIS Service provider focused on developing life and social skills, promoting education, and independence for adults with disabilities. Our goal is to help assimilate our participants into the community so as to be seen as val

ued members of society. To achieve this, we focus on supporting the development of independent living and social skills, encouraging individual interests and promoting positive experiences throughout all of these endeavors. Participation and engagement withing the community is so important for people with disability as it creates positive experiences, improves self-esteem and self-confidence, builds friendships and networks, encourages independence and creates a sense of self-worth. Our services include:
🌻 Mon-Fri Life Skills Day Program (including independent living and social skills)
🌻Weekend Group Social & Community Activities
🌻1:1 In Home Support: Independent living skills (cooking meals, household chores, shopping etc.)
🌻1:1 Social support (safe outdoor venues or activities at home)
🌻 Short Term Respite Accommodation
🌻 Group Holidays
🌻Transport assistance
🌻Any other personalised supports that will help your family to get through this difficult time. We take great pride in our personal service: understanding the goals of our participants and how the lead to increased quality of life and independence. We support our participants on a day to day basis, working towards these goals, monitoring their progress and identifying the next steps required to achieve them. We continuously encourage, motivate, acknowledge and validate our participants in every aspect of engagement. They are partners in the service they receive and are consulted regarding all outcomes that affect them, encouraging decision-making and freedom of choice in all areas of their life.

📣Another shoutout to the wonderful crew at Mum's Bakehouse Kedron for our glorious bread supply every Wednesday!

The hard work that our participants put into sorting & bagging all the bakery treats and maintaining the pantry is making a huge impact on our local community! We have even partnered with a local school to support their breakfast club, feeding hungry kids for a full day of learning 📚✏️

People with intellectual disability are often talked about in terms of the support they require. We want our community to also see how our participants can contribute to others in the community who need support. They have become familiar faces at the bakery and within the local community who have also had the opportunity to get to know them as individuals rather than making assumptions based on their disability.

Visit us next Wednesday for bread or a nice bakery treat if needed! 🥖 Or any other day for other staples and personal care items 🧴🫘🥫

Our stock is looking a bit low at the moment though so any donations are warmly welcomed!

“Roll up, roll up!” Tuesday group headed out to Everton Park to the mini Ekka to see the Dagwood Dog guy, taste some fairy floss, look at colourful show bags, and even have a go at the cheeky clown game! 🤡🌭🍭

A fantastic outing soaking up the mini carnival atmosphere, enjoying the sights, sounds, and treats together as a group. 💚 Everyone had a wonderful time exploring all the stalls and sharing in the excitement of the day!

Our Tuesday group headed out to the viewing platform at Fellowship Place at Brisbane Airport to enjoy some amazing plane spotting and take in the surroundings! 👀✈️✨

It was a fantastic spot to relax, feel the fresh air, and watch the planes coming and going while spending time together. 💚 Everyone loved the excitement of spotting aircraft and sharing the experience as a group!

Busting out the beats again at drumming today! 🎶🥁 Our Thursday crew soaked up the sunshine, made some music and had plenty of fun along the way. What a way to spend the day! 💃🕺

🌉💪 What a day for our Thursday crew! Some of the group took on the challenge of walking across the Ted Smout Memorial Bridge — an epic 5.8km return walk! 🚶‍♀️🚶‍♂️👏

Meanwhile, back at base, the rest of the crew were busy cooking up a storm on the BBQ 🌭, making sure our brave walkers had a well-earned feast waiting for them when they returned!

A fantastic day of teamwork, friendship, fitness and fun — and plenty of tired legs by the end of it! Well done to everyone who got involved and took on the challenge! 🥰🙌
