From high school graduate to confident and independent team member 🚀

Less than 12 months ago, Patrick joined our Acacia Ridge team shortly after finishing high school, ready to begin his employment journey.

Since then, he has embraced every opportunity to learn, grow and challenge himself, quickly becoming a valued member of the Food Rooms team.

Over the past year, Patrick has developed a broad range of workplace skills and built the confidence to work independently across all Food Room tasks, from weighing, sealing and labelling through to packing and palletising. 🎯

Through his hard work and commitment, he has achieved every employment goal set for him, creating new opportunities for the future. Patrick is so proud of what he has achieved that he has already increased his working days and is planning to increase them further. 📈

His enthusiasm, sense of humour and willingness to learn continue to make a positive contribution to the workplace every day. 🤩

Well done, Patrick. We're proud of you and can't wait to see what you achieve next! ❤️

How Help Nursery helped bring new life to Princess Alexandra Hospital’s outdoor area 🌿

When Princess Alexandra Hospital set out to refurbish an outdoor seating and breakout area, the goal was to create a welcoming environment for staff, patients and visitors while increasing seating capacity and providing additional space away from busy clinical settings.

With a short turnaround time, our Help Nursery supplied more than 100 plants to help bring that vision to life. 🤩

For Help Nursery Horticulture Manager Jose Florenciano, the project showcased what can be achieved when expertise, responsiveness and teamwork come together.

"With less than a week to deliver the project, it was all hands on deck. The team worked hard to source the right plants and meet the timeframe. We're really proud of the end result."

PA Hospital's Acting Environmental Manager, Tania Aoake, said the project achieved exactly what they hoped for.
“We had an amazing experience with Help Nursery. The team was very responsive and knowledgeable, and the professionalism and planting options provided helped create the greatest impact for the project.”

The results have been well received, with positive feedback from both staff and patients, highlighting the role green spaces can play in creating more welcoming and enjoyable environments.

A big thank you to PA Hospital and Metro South Health for trusting our team to be part of this project.

A special celebration at Acacia Ridge 🥳

Our Acacia Ridge team recently came together to celebrate some special milestones and recognise the contributions of team members across the site.

A particular highlight was celebrating Supported Employee Sean, who has reached an incredible 20 years of service with Help! 🤩

Alongside recognising Sean's milestone, the team also took the opportunity to give shoutouts to colleagues and celebrate the many achievements that help create a positive and supportive workplace.

Congratulations to Steven, Nathan, Patrick, Deegan, Keegan and Ulpi on their recognition. 👏

Thank you to everyone who helped make the celebration so special. ❤️

When Jackson joined Help Manufacturing six years ago, he had one goal: to become a welder. 🛠️

Today, he's a qualified forklift operator, a skilled welder and a valued member of the team, someone other team members look up to. He's also celebrating another exciting milestone, having started a Certificate III in Engineering apprenticeship through MRAEL, a sister organisation also part of the IntoWork Australia. 🚀

But perhaps the most remarkable part of Jackson's journey is the growth that's happened along the way.

Over the years, he's built confidence, developed new skills, represented his peers through Help's Supported Employee Committee and become a passionate advocate for inclusive employment. 🤩

We're incredibly proud of everything Jackson has achieved and honoured to have been a part of this journey. We can’t wait to see what he achieves next.

More than a new truck design 🚚

This isn't just a new look for our delivery truck. It's a reflection of the people and capabilities that power Help's Social Enterprises.
Supported Employees and staff work together every day to deliver high-quality packaging, assembly, warehousing and fulfilment services for customers across Queensland. 👏

The truck is one of the many ways those products and services make their way from our sites to the communities and businesses we support. 💫

We're proud to see our brand on the road and even prouder of the people behind it. 🤩

Jeremy's courage has been recognised across the IntoWork Australia. 🤩

Jeremy, a valued Supported Employee at Help's Boronia Brew Cafe, has been recognised with the IntoWork Courage Value Award, one of five awards recognising individuals who demonstrate the organisation's shared values of Collaboration, Courage, Innovation, Integrity and Respect.

Selected from a workforce of more than 2,600 staff across 200 locations in Australia and New Zealand, Jeremy's award reflects the positive impact he has on those around him and his willingness to embrace new opportunities and challenges.

Over the past seven years with Help, Jeremy has become a trusted and dependable member of the team. From serving customers and supporting kitchen operations to running the coffee cart and assisting with banking tasks, he’s relied upon to support many aspects of the business. 🚀

As Boronia Brew chef Lucy explains:

🗨️ "Jeremy doesn't hesitate to take on anything we ask of him. He approaches every task with calmness, confidence and courage. We're incredibly proud of him and proud to see his contribution recognised through this award."

For Jeremy, receiving the award came as a surprise: "I was blown away. It meant a lot to me to be recognised.” ✨

He also shared that the recognition reflected the supportive environment that has helped him grow and be himself. “I love working here. It's a safe space where everyone is treated fairly, and I feel supported."

Congratulations, Jeremy. We're incredibly proud of you and this well-deserved achievement. 👏
