W Australii działa My Aged Care – rządowy system wsparcia dla osób starszych. Jest to pierwsze miejsce, do którego można zgłosić się po informacje o dostępnej pomocy i usługach dla seniorów. However, as time goes by, it can become more difficult to find friends of a similar age with shared interests and cultural experiences.
In Australia, My Aged Care is the Australian Government’s aged care system. It is the main entry point for older Australians seeking information about support services and assistance available to help them maintain their independence and wellbeing.
My Aged Care is not a service provider or a care company. It is a government program that helps seniors access assessments, funding, and services that may be suitable for their individual needs.
Many people assume that aged care support is only for those who require significant assistance. In reality, support may also be available for social connection, wellbeing, community participation, transport, respite services, and activities that help seniors remain active and engaged in their communities.
After completing an assessment through My Aged Care, eligible seniors may receive access to programs or funding that can assist them in participating in social groups and community activities.
Polka Senior Club is a Polish social group created to bring Polish seniors together through friendship, cultural connection, outings, activities, and community engagement. For many people, being able to speak Polish, share experiences, and spend time with others who understand their cultural background is incredibly valuable.
