QUT SPU, Griffith Paramedic Society, ACU Brisbane Student Paramedic Society and UniSQ Student Paramedic Society have teamed up to bring you Queensland’s very first Scrub Crawl, exclusively for paramedic students!

We’ve taken the Hx, completed the assessment, and our differential diagnosis is clear… you’d be crazy to miss this one! Grab your mates, throw on your scrubs, and crawl through 4 venues with 8 drink tickets included.

Attention all first and second years ‼️ Do you see yourself on the SPU committee next year? EOIs to join the 2027 SPU committee open this Thursday (6/8/26) at 5pm. A position with SPU is an excellent opportunity to showcase your leadership skills, carry SPU’s legacy, and score some free tickets to events 👀. Successful candidates will be announced at the Annual General Meeting on Friday 28/9/26 5:30pm at the Bot Bar.

EOIs will be open for two weeks, closing on the 20/7/26 at 5pm. Voting will then open the following Friday 21/8/26 for 6 days. Links for EOI submission and voting will be posted on socials so keep an eye out!

The QUT teaching staff and academic team are looking for a group of QUT paramedic students to join us for part of the day as audience members and to participate in a Q&A session with visiting Japanese Paramedic students. This is a fantastic opportunity to meet fellow paramedic students from overseas, learn about paramedic education and practice in Japan, and share your own experiences studying at QUT.

As part of the visit, a group of Teikyo University students and 3rd year QUT students will be asked to complete the same simulation.
Following the demonstrations, there will be an opportunity to compare clinical approaches, discuss similarities and differences in paramedic education and practice, and learn from each other's experiences.

The QUT teaching team are currently seeking a group of volunteers to attend the session as audience members and to actively participate in the Q&A discussion with our visiting students. The session is expected to run from 10am to 3pm (with a 1 hour lunch break) on Friday 21st of August. The session will be held in KG-Q-430.

Semester 2 sport is here and it’s coming to SPU!

Firstly, Thursday Night Mixed Netball:
Time: Games range between 6-10pm each week
Location: Downey park netball courts
Experience: We are in beginner comp so fully social and fun
When: 6th August first game, 10 week season
Cost: $35

Secondly, Friday Night Mixed Touch
Time: Games range between 5:15-10pm each week
Location: QUT Sports field, KG
Experience: We are in beginner comp so fully social and fun.
When: 7th August first game, 10 week season
Cost: $35
