Queensland Migrant WorkWise We're a free program empowering migrant workers to take action against exploitation by helping them understand their workplace rights and visa protections.

Delivered by the Queensland Council of Unions, funded by the Department of Home Affairs. Queensland Migrant WorkWise (QMWW) is a free education and information program supporting migrant workers across Queensland. We help temporary visa holders understand their workplace rights and new visa protections so they can take action against exploitation and feel confident at work. Delivered by the Queens

It was a busy weekend for the Queensland Migrant WorkWise team! Our outreach officers attended four events from the Sunshine Coast to the Gold Coast over the weekend.

Thank you to the organisers of the Bayanihan Festival at Kingston Butter Factory, Fiesta ng Kalayaan on the Sunshine Coast, the Gold Coast Philippine Festival, and Festa Junina on the Gold Coast for having us!

Celebrate Filipino culture, music, food and community spirit at Bayanihan Festival 2026 in Brisbane this Saturday! 🇵🇭🇦🇺🎉

The community will come together for Queensland’s biggest Filipino festival, hosted by FABS Filipino Australian Brisbane Society Inc. in celebration of 128 years of Philippine Independence Day with cultural performances, delicious Filipino food, community showcases and live entertainment featuring Philippines’ Prince of RnB, JayR.
