International Pronouns Day is a reminder that respecting and using a person's correct pronouns is a simple but powerful way to show inclusion, respect and care.

For our LGBTIQA+ Sistergirl and Brotherboy communities, names, identities and language hold important personal and cultural meaning. Creating welcoming spaces often starts with the words we choose and the respect we show one another.

Using someone's correct pronouns helps create environments where people feel recognised, valued and included.

We know how to throw a party here at Naamba, and our Older Persons Morning Tea is no exception! 🎉

Join us as we celebrate Seniors Month with:

🍰 Cake, morning tea and refreshments
🎵 Music and laughter
🏳️‍🌈 Community connection and celebration

Whether you're a regular, attending for the first time, or coming along with a friend, we'd love to welcome you.

Know Before You Go

✅ Flat parking available at the front of the building
✅ Ramp access available
✅ Additional parking available at the rear (approximately 20m incline walk)
✅ Lower sensory rooms available if needed

Please note there may be:
General conversation
Music
Kitchen noises
Approximately 30 people attending across indoor and outdoor spaces

Older LGBTIQ+ Sistergirl and Brotherboy community members and allies are warmly welcome.

If you're feeling a little nervous about attending for the first time, please give us a call beforehand. We're happy to meet and greet you and help make your visit as comfortable as possible.

You are welcome to stay for five minutes or the whole morning.

This week, we recognise and celebrate Genderfluid Visibility Week, an opportunity to raise awareness, increase understanding and celebrate genderfluid people and communities.

Genderfluid people may experience their gender differently over time, and Genderfluid Visibility Week provides an opportunity to acknowledge and celebrate the diversity of gender experiences within our LGBTIQA+ Sistergirl and Brotherboy communities.

Visibility plays an important role in creating communities where people feel recognised, respected and supported. By learning more about different gender identities and experiences, we help build safer, more inclusive and affirming spaces for everyone.

💜 This week, we celebrate the strength, diversity and contributions of genderfluid people across Queensland and beyond.

Together, we can continue creating communities where people are free to express themselves authentically and be welcomed for who they are.
