* BOOKER PRIZE FAQs *

The Booker Prize FAQs last year were a great hit so we are revisiting them for 2026!

As our six binders for this year are working hard behind the scenes to create covers for their allocated novels, the "Frequently Asked Questions" have been compiled to try and help explain how our society became involved with this prestigious award for fiction.

When did the relationship with Designer Bookbinders and The Booker Prize begin?

Designer Bookbinders began creating unique, handmade editions of Booker Prize-shortlisted books over thirty years ago in 1991. The society creates these bespoke books as gifts for the authors of the shortlisted novels.

Our last day of Winter School was loads of fun, and everyone did such a great job printing some lovely papers. We zoomed right through morning tea without stopping and had to be dragged out for a lunch break…marbling can be like that!
