Queensland African Australian Women Dinner Dance The primary target audience is for these events are African Australian women and their allies.

This Annual Qld African Australian Women's Dinner dance was started by Kariuki (Australia's Local Hero, 2021), in partnership with the African Women’s Group in New South Wales. The annual African Australian Women Dinner Dance events across Australia aims to engage African Australian women and provide resources/ information about relevant services and thereby reducing accessibility barriers. The idea is to honour and celebrate women of African descent, creating a safe space for them to connect with others and talk ‘women business’ whilst removing stigma, shame and discrimination as well as connect women to services. On 18 December 2021, Queensland hosted its first African Australian Women Dinner Dance. The event partners included African Women’s Group NSW in collaboration with Kenyans in Queensland , African Australian Women Association, Kingston East Neighbourhood Group Inc, Qld African Communities Council, Psyched Solutions Consultancy with Gold sponsorship by Solomons Legal and other sponsors such as Senator Paul Scarr, Peter Russo MP, QPASTT, Access Community Services, Multicultural Australia, the Palace Lounge and Tuntifady Designs. We are in the process of planning events for 2022 and looking forward to your participation and support.
