The planet’s signals are getting louder. So is our response.

Around the world, solutions already exist. What's needed now: more speed, more scale.

Start a conversation. Shift a policy. Invest in climate solutions. Share a story. Send a signal that moves others.

Every action counts : https://www.worldenvironmentday.global/2026/latest/climate-solutions

You can’t embargo the sun or sanction the wind.

Renewable energy sources like wind and solar are scaling rapidly. As more countries invest in them, supported by grids and storage, energy systems can become more resilient to fuel price shocks and external disruptions.

This shift is already underway.

The Goori Camp Embassy was established to protect Barrambin/Victoria Park, a place of deep cultural and spiritual significance to the Yuggera and Turrbal peoples, and a traditional meeting ground for thousands of years. The Embassy and its sacred ceremonial fire has now been moved to make way for construction of the Olympic stadium - despite outstanding applications to the federal government to protect the site as a significant Aboriginal area.

While we haven't had the capacity to be as active in this fight as we would have liked, we unequivocally stand in solidarity with the Goori Camp Embassy and all those who have been defending Country and Culture. Here's how you can support the protecting of this important and beautiful part of Magandjin / Brisbane’s history, present and future:

Donate to the Goori Camp Embassy to continue their work, cover legal costs, and sustain the community: https://chuffed.org/project/177541-goori-camp-embassy

Follow and amplify the Embassy's updates widely via GooriCampEmbassy on Instagram: https://www.instagram.com/gooricampembassy/

Head down to the park and show your support directly, check in on the instagram page to ask what they might need - tables and chairs etc.

Glencore wants to clear 600ha of koala habitat to expand a dirty coal mine, but our friends at Mackay Conservation Group are taking them to court to stop it! Follow and share their posts to support their campaign to protect our iconic species from more habitat destruction 💚

URGENT: 📣 Donate to help prevent Australia's most methane-polluting open-cut coal mine from expanding

https://chuffed.org/project/stop-hail-creek-coal-expansion

Glencore wants to expand its dirty Hail Creek coal mine - clearing about 600ha of koala habitat and releasing even more methane.

A greenhouse gas up to 86 times more potent than carbon, this would be a disaster for our climate - and Queensland's endangered koalas.

Your donation will help cover the costs to take multinational Glencore to court - and protect our iconic species 🐨

While gas corporations bank massive profits and our governments commit to more extraction, actual demand for gas has peaked and begun to fall. The Grattan Institute's new report warns of 'structural decline' being ignored, putting emissions reduction targets, electricity networks, and power prices under pressure.

We're calling for 2 things:
☀️ More state and federal support for and investment in the transition to renewable energy
💵 A 25% gas tax for a fair return on massive corporate profits from publicly owned resources

Add your name to support the 25% gas export levy: https://loom.ly/N_bzNts

Our unique biodiversity generates $511 billion for the Australian economy each year - just one reason we want a fair go for nature by investing 1% of the federal budget into nature! Glenn and Charmian visited Madonna Jarrett MP to talk her through the campaign's Nature Economics Report - huge thanks to our amazing supporters speaking up for nature, and to Madonna Jarrett making time to listen.

You can make a difference as well. Let us know if you're willing to meet with your local MP, or order a free 30 by 30 sticker pack and raise awareness everywhere you go!

Last week was huge for us - meetings with the Minister and his departmental staff, strategic planning with regional conservation councils, and finally a full day sharing ideas and plans with groups from across the state.

Speakers and breakout sessions covered respectful engagement with First Nations groups, rewilding Brisbane's green spaces, identifying disinformation online, smart technologies to optimise home solar, building support in the regions, and the future direction of the environment movement in Queensland.

Thank you so much to Aunty Deb Sandy for the Welcome to Country and history lesson, Opposition Environment Minister Leanne Linard MP for a parliamentary update and Q&A session, and the tirelessly inspirational representatives of regional and local environment groups striving for better outcomes across our state.
