On 12 August 2025, founder and chief scientist of Rewiring Australia, Dr Saul Griffith spoke at Westside HQ to a crowd of more than 200 people on the topic of energy, electrification, economics and the environment (the 4 Es). We've condensed down some of the key talking points and will be releasing a series of videos here on our page. Enjoy.

In case you didn’t know, there’s a free community festival on RIGHT NOW (until 8pm) at the Graceville Community Garden. Get along. There’s food trucks and lots of entertainment for young (and old). See you there!

One of our former members is organising a fantastic free event this coming Saturday, 20 Sept (2pm-8pm), to celebrate the 40th birthday of the Benarrawa community garden at Faulkner Park, Graceville. The event will held adjacent to the community garden and will feature food trucks, live music, cultural demonstrations, workshops, and activities. Plus the event will be powered by two electric vehicles, kindly supplied Motorama Kia (Motorama Mitsubishi Moorooka) and BYD Auto Australia. The celebration will also include a discussion on neighbourhood disaster resilience with author Margaret Cook. We’ll see you there! 🎉

Amazing turnout tonight at the Saul Griffith Event (and book launch) at Westside HQ. More than 250 people hearing about the future of energy and electricity. Saul was joined on stage by Rebecca Levingston (former ABC Radio), Julie-Ann Campbell MP, Robert Pearson (Master Electricians Australia).
