Last Friday, more than 70 industry professionals came together at the Brisbane Airport Conference Centre for the Women in Forestry and Timber Network (WFTN) International Women’s Day Breakfast — a sold-out event celebrating connection, leadership and impact across the industry.

The morning was filled with inspiring insights from our guest speakers:

✨ Janice O’Connor (Allied Seafreight & General Distribution), who shared reflections from more than 30 years in logistics and spoke about leading with respect, safety and purpose.

✨ Lewis Rolls (Bretts Trade), who highlighted how strong culture, integrity and collaboration can drive performance and create more meaningful work.

✨ Briana Wills (Wesbeam), who provided valuable insight into financial leadership, governance and the evolving role of finance leaders in modern manufacturing.

We were also proud to announce Zephyr Education Inc as WFTN’s charity partner for 2026–2027. The organisation supports children affected by domestic and family violence by providing essential school supplies that restore dignity and stability during difficult times.

A sincere thank you to Wesbeam for their ongoing support as WFTN’s Annual Partner, and to everyone who attended and helped make the morning such a success.

WFTN looks forward to continuing to strengthen connections, create opportunities, and celebrate the achievements of women across the forestry and timber industry throughout 2026. 🌿
