A huge thank you to everyone who joined us on Saturday for our screening of Floodland at Sandgate & Bracken Ridge Action Group Incorporated ! It was amazing to see so many people turnout for the film and the discussion that followed. We hope you all had a great night 💚 Don’t forget we have our July social tomorrow night, Friday 10th July from 6pm at The Sands Bowlo - everyone welcome, we hope to see you there!

Don’t miss our free screening of Floodland, a doco based on the community-led response to the devastating floods of 2022 in Lismore. Our suburbs here in 4017 were also really hard hit in the same flood event making this a very relevant watch for our community. Join us at Sandgate & Bracken Ridge Action Group Incorporated on Sat 4th July for the film, discussion and food with other locals. Something members of the 4017 may be interested in attending - the Community Home Resilience Expo is on 27th June from 2-4pm, and is a free community event bringing together homeowners, resilience experts, builders, tradespeople and community organisations to explore practical ways to make homes safer and more resilient.
It will cover topics such as:
· How Brisbane homes perform during floods and other hazard events
· Practical ways to improve your home’s resilience
· Real examples and case studies from local homes
· How the Resilience Ratings system works
· Opportunities relating to insurance recognition for resilient homes
