📣 Expressions of Interest Now Open!

The National Su***de Prevention Office (NSPO) is seeking new members with lived and living experience of su***de to join its Lived Experience Partnership Council (LEPC).

The Council ensures that people with lived and living experience are central to the NSPO’s work, helping to inform national su***de prevention reform.

📅 Commencing: February 2027
💻 Commitment: Monthly 2-hour virtual meetings during business hours, with occasional additional opportunities to provide advice.
⏰ Applications close: Midnight, 20 November 2026.

People interested in applying are encouraged to review the capability criteria and consider their readiness to participate in conversations about su***de prevention reform.

Charter of Victims' Rights training is now available for LGBTQIA+ Queenslanders.

👥The Victims' Commissioner Queensland, in partnership with the Queensland Mental Health Commission, has developed a short, self-paced eLearning course designed to help you to better understand victims’ rights, the Charter and how it applies to you.

ℹ️Using practical scenarios, the training explores the rights of victims, your responsibilities, and the everyday actions that can help create positive experiences for victims engaging with services at a vulnerable time.

🏳️‍🌈 Support LGBTI Legal Service this GiveOUT Day! 💜

Our member organisation, LGBTI Legal Service, is fundraising to establish an office in Rockhampton to improve access to free legal support for regional LGBTIQA+ Sistergirl and Brotherboy communities.

With three staff and four volunteers already based in Rockhampton, a dedicated office will help the service better support local communities and connect with clients face-to-face.

💜 Every donation made through GiveOUT Day will be doubled, helping make your support go even further!

🌈 Two weeks to go until GiveOUT Day!

We’re proud to support our member service, LGBTI Community Ageing Network Sunshine Coast, and their “It’s My Decision” community workshop series.

Through the “It’s My Decision” community workshops, older LGBTQIA+ community members will be supported to begin preparing Enduring Powers of Attorney, Wills, Advance Health Directives and Statements of Choices. These workshops will help participants feel informed, safe and empowered to make decisions about their future, even if circumstances change.
