Head Coach of the Ananda College Cricket Team, devoted husband, loving father, cherished grandfather, and beloved brother.

A true mentor and servant of Mother Ananda, he dedicated his life to nurturing young cricketers, instilling discipline, and inspiring generations through his unwavering passion for the game.

May you attain the supreme bliss of nibbana sir, You will forever remain a part of the Ananda family.

Congratulations to OAAQ Cricket Team on a commanding victory at the 13th QLD Battle of the Maroons, securing their second consecutive championship! 🟡🔴

Batting first, Nalanda were dismissed for 77 in 29 overs, before Ananda produced a composed and convincing chase, reaching 80/2 in 22 overs to seal an emphatic 8-wicket victory.

⭐ Man of the Match & Best Bowler — Deshaja Yukthi
An outstanding all-round performance, highlighted by a superb spell of 7 overs, 3 maidens, 7 runs and 3 wickets.

🏏 Best Batsman — Dushan Mendis
Anchored the Ananda chase with an accomplished and unbeaten 39* under lights.

Congratulations to the Ananda team, players, coaches and supporters on another memorable victory, and to both Ananda and Nalanda for continuing the proud sporting tradition and camaraderie of the QLD Battle of the Maroons.

Maroons Charity Walk 2026 ❤️

The Maroons Charity Walk held on 8 March was a great success, thanks to the incredible support from Anandians, their family members and friends, community organisation representatives, and the wider Sri Lankan and multicultural community.

Together, we walked with one powerful purpose — supporting cyclone-affected communities in Sri Lanka through the provision of essential medical equipment to Gampola Base Hospital.

Thank you to everyone who walked with us and made this initiative truly meaningful.
