Minnippi parkrun

Minnippi parkrun A free, weekly, timed 5k event every Saturday morning at 7am at Meadowlands Rd, Carina. Everyone is welcome to walk, run or volunteer.

Minnippi parkrun is a FREE weekly timed 5km event for runners of all standards, which takes place every Saturday at 7am in Tingalpa, approx 10Km East of Brisbane's CBD. Minnippi parkrun is FREE and open to people of all standards and ages, both as volunteers and as runners / walkers. We encourage people of every ability to take part, from those taking their first steps in running to Olympians, fro

m juniors 5 years or older to those with decades of experience. All runners receive encouragement and enjoy being part of a community event open to all standards. Equally, our volunteer teams come from a huge variety of backgrounds and we urge everybody to get involved in organising their local events at least 3 times per year.

Happy Tuesday parkies, hope you're keeping well.

If your biorhythms are out of whack or perhaps you're nursing an injury, maybe this week could be your week to put your hand up to volunteer at Minnippi parkrun. We could really do with some extra help.

Right now we still need:
1 x Photographer 📸
2 x Marshals 👈👉
1 x Funnel Manager 🦺
1 x Barcode scanner 🤳

If you've never donned a prized parkrun red vest, don't fret. Volunteering is easy. It's fun too. And you'll get all the training you need on the day to be a volunteer master.

Oh, and did we mention Minnippi parkrun volunteers also qualify for a free coffee thanks to the ongoing generosity of the team at the onsite coffee van - Recharged Coffee!

Volunteering at Minnippi parkrun has its rewards. It's fun, it's easy, and there's that warm glow you get when you give back to a community that genuinely appreciates you. 🐐 😍

But here's the real bonus: every Saturday, Sam and his expert team of baristas at the Recharged van — Minnippi's very own on-site baristas — shout parkrun volunteers a FREE coffee! 🆓 ☕️

🏃‍♂️ Minnippi parkrun – Event #623 🏃‍♀️
📅 15th August 2026

What a cracker of a morning for a parkrun! 🌤️ The weather was pretty much perfect — not too hot, not too cold, and most importantly, no need to negotiate with the weather gods before heading out! 😂

This week 360 people ran, jogged and walked their way around Minnippi, including 39 first timers and an impressive 62 PBs! 🎉 We also welcomed representatives from 24 different clubs.

25 parkruns — you've officially completed enough to know where the finish line is… although finding the barcode afterwards is still another skill entirely! 😜
