We are lucky enough to have a fire pit at Kindy, a dedicated space where we can light fires safely. Today the Kabarla class enjoyed this experience together. Everyone contributed ideas about how to keep themselves and others safe around a real fire.

Once the fire was lit, the children observed the flames, listened to the crackling sounds, sang some songs and talked about the heat and smoke.

We have had a busy week celebrating Reconciliation Week. The children learnt about Sorry Day and we talked about all the ways we can be kind and inclusive of all. We discovered more about the Yuggera land on which we play and how to keep looking after it. We raised money for by wearing yellow and we created a beautiful sea of hearts to show our support. Thank you to all our beautiful families for being part of this celebration.
