Multicultural Community Centre AT MCC, WE PROVIDE A FUTURE TO THE DISADVANTAGED THROUGH TRAINING, SUPPORT, ADVOCACY AND EMPOWERMENT Helping people is at the heart of what we do!

We provide government funded programs to assist CALD (Culturally and Linguistically Diverse) people. We are committed to assisting those disadvantaged by poverty, sickness, unemployment and racial discrimination. Through training and employment programs and other initiatives we help migrants integrate into Australian society. We give them skills to get jobs and help them access mainstream services provided by government and charitable agencies.

Some wonderful news to share!

We’re very happy to announce that MCC has received a grant from the Lord Mayor’s Charitable Trust to support our weekly Soul Food Program!

Through this program, we provide food assistance to individuals and families in our community who are going through difficult times.

We know that for many families, even a little extra support can make a big difference. ❤️ Thanks to this funding, we can continue helping those who need it most, offering not just food, but kindness, care and a welcoming place to turn to.

A huge thank you to the Lord Mayor Adrian SchrinnerLord Mayor’s Charitable Trust for supporting our work and helping us make a difference in our community! 💕

Last Friday, our seniors got together for a Candle Making Workshop and lunch, and what a beautiful morning it was!

There was plenty of chatting, laughing and creativity as everyone made their own candles, chose their favourite scents and enjoyed spending time together. And, of course, we finished with a lovely lunch. 💕

A big thank you to Bonnie Tran, Saysamone and Devana Candles for making the workshop so enjoyable, and to everyone who came along and made the day so special. 🕯️✨

Our Seniors Program is all about bringing people together, trying something new and simply enjoying good company.

MCC CEO Selvaratnam was honoured to attend a reception hosted by the Consulate-General of the People’s Republic of China in Brisbane, marking the 77th Anniversary of the Founding of the People’s Republic of China.

The occasion provided an opportunity to connect with representatives from across Queensland’s diplomatic, government and multicultural communities and to recognise the important contribution of the Chinese community to Queensland’s multicultural landscape.

MCC values opportunities to strengthen relationships across our diverse communities and support connection, inclusion and community participation.

Thank you to the Chinese Consulate-General in Brisbane for the invitation and hospitality.
