Multicultural Community Centre AT MCC, WE PROVIDE A FUTURE TO THE DISADVANTAGED THROUGH TRAINING, SUPPORT, ADVOCACY AND EMPOWERMENT Helping people is at the heart of what we do!

We provide government funded programs to assist CALD (Culturally and Linguistically Diverse) people. We are committed to assisting those disadvantaged by poverty, sickness, unemployment and racial discrimination. Through training and employment programs and other initiatives we help migrants integrate into Australian society. We give them skills to get jobs and help them access mainstream services provided by government and charitable agencies.

A proud moment for MCC! 💙

We were honoured to have the work of the Multicultural Community Centre recognised at the Premier’s 2026 Celebrating Multicultural Communities Reception.

Brian Selvaratnam MAICD proudly accepted the Certificate of Appreciation on behalf of MCC, recognising our contribution to Queensland’s multicultural community and the work of our dedicated team.

This recognition reflects MCC’s ongoing commitment to supporting and empowering people from diverse backgrounds through opportunities, connection and practical support.

It was wonderful to celebrate alongside so many individuals and organisations who contribute every day to Queensland’s vibrant multicultural community.

We are incredibly proud of what our team continues to achieve and grateful to have our contribution acknowledged. 💕

As Multicultural Queensland Month comes to an end, we’re looking back at one of our favourite celebrations from this month! 🌏❤️

Our Multicultural Lunch brought together MCC and ICC International City Church staff and students Asian Pacific Institute - API - RTO 6153 to celebrate the many cultures that make our community so special.

Everyone brought a dish representing their country or culture, creating an incredible table of flavours from around the world! It was a wonderful afternoon of sharing food, stories, traditions and, most importantly, enjoying time together. 🥘🥗🍰

A big thank you to everyone who brought a plate and joined us in celebrating the diversity that brings so much colour, flavour and connection to our community.

What a beautiful way to celebrate Multicultural Queensland Month! ❤️🌏

Yesterday, the MCC team was delighted to attend the 4th Multicultural Career & Job Expo 2026, hosted by Multicultural Mailer Inc. at the Logan Entertainment Centre.

It was a wonderful opportunity to meet so many job seekers and community members, hear about their career goals and share information about the employment support, training and programs available through MCC.

We also enjoyed connecting with fellow organisations, employers and service providers who share our commitment to creating pathways and opportunities for Queensland’s diverse communities.

Thank you to everyone who stopped by the MCC stand for a chat, and a big thank you to Multicultural Mailer Inc. for bringing together such a vibrant and diverse community.

We loved being part of it and look forward to continuing the conversations and connections made on the day! 💙

Yesterday, we officially launched the MCC Seniors Program, and what a fantastic morning it was!

We were delighted to welcome such a great turnout and see so many smiling faces come together for a morning filled with fun, friendship and community spirit. ❤️

There was plenty happening — songs and sing-alongs, raffles, plants to give away, lots of laughter and even some Bollywood dancing! 💃

It was wonderful to see everyone getting involved, meeting new people and enjoying the morning together.

A huge thank you to everyone who joined us and helped make the launch such a special occasion.

The MCC Seniors Program is all about creating opportunities to connect, participate, have fun and build new friendships — and yesterday was a wonderful way to begin. 🌟

And this is only the beginning!

A warm welcome to our newest Certificate III in Individual Support (Ageing & Disability) students! 🎉

Last week, we were delighted to welcome another diverse and enthusiastic group of students beginning their journey towards a rewarding career in the care sector.

We're also grateful for our ongoing partnership with the Romero Centre, whose support and referrals continue to create valuable opportunities for people looking to build meaningful careers and contribute to their communities.

It's not too late to join! If you've been thinking about a career in aged care or disability support, there are still places available in our current intake. Get in touch with us today to find out if you're eligible for government-funded training.

We look forward to supporting our new students every step of the way. 💙
