🤷‍♀️Are you going to the Family Fun Afternoon 🥳 at Keong Park in Stafford next weekend (12 September, 2pm - 4pm)? How about supporting the pantry at the same time⁉️

As well as accepting donations of non-perishable food items and toiletries 🥫, The Community Place has come up with a great idea for the community to support the pantry .

It's called Sponsor a Trolley 🛒. Basically, people can donate towards a shopping trolley of food 💹and when it is full (when the total amount donated reaches $100), all of the people who have contributed towards raising that amount will be recognised here - and where ever we share the posts to 😉. All donations will be tax deductible and all of the money goes directly to the pantry, helping stock it with the everyday essentials someone nearby might really need.

This is a great way for the whole community to get involved in supporting the Street Pantry!

📣 We are at Grill'd Everton Park🎉

Our street pantry is one of the Local Matters that diners can vote for through out October!

If you haven't been to Grill'd before, everyone who orders is given a token. They use it to vote for their favourite of 3 local organisations. The one with the most votes at the end of the month gets a $300 donation from Grill'd (the other two get $100). So if you happen to have a burger at Grill'd Everton Park this month make sure you put your token in the jar for the Stafford Street Pantry! The more votes we get the more food we can buy 😉!

🎉Make the most of the community spirit by bringing something for the Stafford Street Pantry to the Family Fun Day this weekend! 🥰

Have you heard about the Family Fun Day at Keong Park on Saturday (13/09)? It sounds like it is going to be a great community event! Maybe think about bringing along something to put in the pantry! It's a great opportunity to show kids community action in 'for real-life'! You can put your donation directly into the pantry (at the side of the building nearest the stage) or take it to the The Community Place stand in the park.

Full details of the event are below!

🤞Can you spare something for the pantry?

🎉 Great news: Word is spreading about our street pantry and more families are finding the help they need! We're so proud this resource is reaching more people ✅, but we need some help to keep up with demand 🤹‍♀️.

We're looking for:
✓ Family meal essentials (pasta, sauce, canned goods)
✓ Breakfast items
✓ Healthy snacks for kids
✓ Personal care items

You can either
1 - put your donations directly into the pantry at 33 Teevan Street, Stafford, or
2 - hand them in to the ward offices of either Cr Danita Parry at the Brisbane City Council building on Kittyhawk Avenue, Chermside, or to Cr Tracy Davis on Appleby Road, Stafford Heights.

Thanks for helping turn this success story into a sustainable solution! ❤️

👨‍🎤Huge shout out to everyone who has taken the Stafford Street Pantry into their hearts. We've already got a flow of things coming in and going out 🔁. I just re-stocked it this morning ready for the weekend 👍and if you were thinking of adding something, maybe think about school lunches 🍎? I know it would be helpful with school going back on Monday 👩‍🏫. Otherwise, some long-life milk to go with the weet-bix that has been donated would be great 🐂!
