Another QPFA Game Day in the books for 2026, we have officially hit the half way point of our season and River City have most certainly wrapped up the 2026 title with another 2 wins this past weekend as they gained maximum points from the rounds.

We have a two way tie for each position on the goal scoring leader board with Castles and Latcham making their first appearance on the list for the year.
Peters bagged another 2 assists which saw him more further clear on the assists leader board as Warren claims outright 3rd spot with 2 of his own assists.

With plenty more games to go for the season all positions are up for grabs still, it will be an exciting month ahead!

Game Day 4 is in the books as we saw all three clubs give it all they could once again.

Round 10: Excelsior and River City fought another tough battle as the Excelsior combo begins to gel, River City won 2 - 1.
Round 11: The Strikers under Byrne's leadership keep improving every week as McGavin and West continue to improve their games, River City came away 7 NIL winners.
Round 12: The return of captain Gillespie made the difference for Excelsior as he delivered a terrific ball to the young Lincoln Ryan who slotted home his very first competition goal ever. Congratulations to Lincoln who made the shot look like one he had scored hundreds of times already. He will be another one to watch along side McGavin in the coming years.

Thanks to all who made the day possible and we will see you again on Saturday at 12pm for the next Game Day.

River City have further put themselves into the box seat for the 2026 QPFA crown with some big wins this last weekend and taking maximum points in the process.

The goals and assists had some movements with Peters entering into 3rd and Abra taking over 1st after bagging a few more goals.
Castles has entered the charts too with a strong showing bagging a goal and a couple of assists to move into equal 3rd for assists.

Still plenty more games to go for all teams as we now enter March.

Game Day 3 is over and River City keep pushing ahead for the title race, as the Strikers celebrated their first points and goal to newcomer Patrick McGavin.

Game 1: Some key players missing from both teams as we saw a NIL all draw between Excelsior and Strikers.
Game 2: A slow start to River City saw the game remain close until the 2nd half when fresh players saw the game open up, with the game finishing 6 NIL to River City.
Game 3: The Strikers celebrated the very first goal to their new star young player Patrick McGavin who has only just started this season, we can't wait to see more of him scoring through out 2026.

Thanks to all referees, volunteers and supporters for helping make the day possible.

See you all again this Saturday at 12pm, athletes remember to be ready at least 10 minutes early before your scheduled games.

Another strong crowd of on lookers, yesterday, witnessed 3 great games take place again.

Game 1 saw a well polished River City team down the Strikers 6 NIL
Game 2 was a tight battle as Excelsior pipped the Strikers narrowly by 1 NIL
Game 3 was an arm wrestle as Excelsior held their own and even looked to upset River City in the game of the day but City showed their composure and came away with a 3 - 1 win.

Thank you to the referees, volunteers, players and parents for helping making it another great day.

See you next Saturday from 12pm at Nissan Arena.

Today the QPFA guys took part in Para-Sport Come & Try Day in Brendale, to help promote our great sport to a new wave of potential players. We are happy to report that it was a great successful day and may end up producing some more players for our league.

Thanks to all the QPFA members who made the trek to help show off our game, your support was invaluable.

An even bigger thank you goes to Tristram and Frank (ASDA Provider Group) for bringing the extra chairs needed today for those wanting to try the sport out.
