🧵 Calling all Queensland quilters, entries are closing soon!

There’s something special about a handmade quilt.

Every stitch tells a story of patience, creativity, tradition and care. Quilting has long been part of the fabric of our agricultural shows, connecting generations through skill and craftsmanship.

Entries for Quilts Across Queensland, presented by Pillow Talk Australia at Ekka, are now open, with entries closing Friday, 19 June.

Queensland Ag Shows is proud to support this wonderful competition as a sponsor, helping celebrate the incredible talent, creativity and craftsmanship found right across our state.

From first-time exhibitors to experienced makers, this competition showcases the care and dedication that keeps traditional arts thriving in modern Queensland.

Whether your style is classic patchwork, bold contemporary design or something uniquely your own, now is the time to enter.

We’d love to see Queensland’s quilting community well represented.

Entries close 19 June, so don’t leave it too late.

The conversation highlighted the importance of live events in building connected, resilient and thriving communities.

Congratulations to the Cairns Show Society on being recognised with a Community Spirit Award at the Queensland Day celebrations. Queensland Ag Shows President, David Wilson, was proud to accept the award on the Society’s behalf.
