Queensland Ag Shows Queensland Ag Shows is a non-profit organisation to support Queensland Agricultural Shows.

Queensland Ag Shows is the peak body for the Agricultural Show Societies in Queensland. We were set up with the aim to promote and protect the general interests of Show Societies so they can continue to put on safe events and increase community wellbeing. Today we offer a range of services, competitions, education and information to help Show Societies run thriving, well-resourced and well-governed Agricultural Shows. We are continually looking for ways to support Show Societies so they can confidently plan ahead and achieve their goals and objectives.

📸 Throwback to the Warwick Show! 🎡🐄

From 20–22 March, the Warwick Show brought the community together for a wonderful celebration of agriculture, local talent and country show traditions.

The Warwick Show was another great example of the work that goes into bringing a local show together. From the volunteers behind the scenes to the exhibitors and competitors taking part, it was a fantastic few days for the Warwick community. 👏

🎉 2027 ASA Conference Bursary Applications are still OPEN!

A great opportunity for Queensland's agricultural show volunteers to connect, learn and bring fresh ideas back to their local shows!

15 bursaries are available nationally, each covering early-bird registration to the 2027 Agricultural Shows Australia Conference, valued at $360.10 including fees.

If you're a volunteer member of a show society, we encourage you to apply and make the most of this opportunity.

🌾 October 15 is International Day of Rural Women!

Today, we celebrate the incredible women who help keep Queensland's agricultural shows and rural communities thriving.

From stewarding livestock and judging competitions to baking prize-winning cakes, mentoring young competitors and leading show committees, their contributions are felt across every showground.

Many work quietly behind the scenes, giving their time, knowledge and energy to keep our show traditions alive.

A little look back at the Murgon Show, held on 19–20 June. ❤️

Two days of country show traditions, familiar faces and the kind of community spirit that makes our local shows so special.

From the excitement around the showgrounds to the quieter moments shared between friends, families and volunteers, it's these memories that stay with us long after the gates close.

🐂🌾 Looking back at Allora...

Back in February, the Allora Show helped kick off another wonderful year of agricultural shows across Queensland.

Now that the 2026 show season has wrapped up, we’re taking a look back at some of the shows that made the year what it was. Allora was an early stop on the calendar, and a great reminder of what was ahead: communities coming together, traditions continuing and showgrounds right across Queensland filling up once again.

One season may be behind us, but it won’t be long before we get to do it all again.

Here’s to Allora 2026, and to the next Queensland show season already on the horizon. 🌾

Show season may be wrapped up for the year, but there are plenty of moments worth looking back on. 💚

So, we’re heading back to where the 2026 Queensland show calendar began: the Stanthorpe Show.

From 30 January to 1 February, Stanthorpe brought the community together for three days of competition, agriculture, tradition and all those familiar moments that make a local show feel like home. 🎡🐄🌾

Over the coming weeks, we’ll be looking back at some of those moments and celebrating the communities that made this year’s show season one to remember.

Long after the gates close, the work continues. Across Queensland, volunteers are meeting, planning, maintaining grounds, sharing knowledge and already thinking about what comes next.

Much of it happens quietly, but together those hours keep an extraordinary community movement going.

There’s something special about seeing connections made through our Queensland Rural Ambassador program continue long after the State Finals. 💙🌾

Matt McCauley and Sally Rodwell recently headed west to the Brigalow Bush Carnival, catching up with fellow Rural Ambassador Darby Bourke and experiencing a little of what makes this local tradition so special.

Across Queensland, our shows and events may look a little different, but it’s the people, friendships and community spirit that connect them all. 🤠
