We stand in solidarity with the family and community of Alice Springs to commemorate and show our support for Kumanjayi Little Baby.

At 6pm tonight on the 7th of May nationwide we ask that you leave a light on to remember Kumanjayi Little Baby. 💕🎀💞

Strong Women Talking were honoured to have just come back from Mparntwe country spending time, and holding space with our sisters, aunties and families of Tangentyere Women’s Family Safety Group and Galiwin’ku Women’s Space Aboriginal Corporation. During this time we were able to pay respect and lay flowers in mourning and solidarity with the community.

We would also like to invite everyone to join us for the next 24 hours in wearing pink in honour of Kumanjayi Little Baby. 💗💓🌸💕

We will be praying for the family and community during this time of sorry business. 🙏🏾🙏🏾🩷🩷

This month we’ve been blessed enough to take some of our clients to the Restore Program by Broken to Brilliant.

This program is a trauma informed equine therapy initiative for survivors of DFV and the women have been absolutely loving it!

May is Domestic and Family Violence Prevention Month.

DFV isn’t just physical, it can be emotional, financial, psychological, and controlling behaviours that take away someone’s safety and freedom.

Strong women don’t just survive, they speak, they support, and they stand together.

This month is about awareness, accountability, and action.

We all have a role to play in ending the cycle so let us stand united and in solidarity with one another ✊🏽
