20 participants from 6 RDA centres coming together for two full days of learning, sharing ideas, building skills and celebrating what makes RDA so special. 💜

A huge welcome to everyone joining us — and a special thank you to Sally Francis and Jen Davy for sharing their knowledge and expertise.

It’s all about people, horses, volunteers and community — working together to make a difference for people with disability. 🐎💜

RDA at the Table 🐴🇦🇺

Two members of the RDAQ Board recently had the privilege of sitting at a roundtable meeting with the Hon. Jenny McAllister and Ali France MP to discuss the current NDIS reforms and how they may affect the services RDA provides to people with disability.

It was an important opportunity to put the RDA perspective directly on the table — highlighting the work our volunteers and centres do every week and the importance of ensuring people with disability continue to have access to appropriate, meaningful, and life-enhancing supports.

RDA provides far more than riding sessions — it delivers improved physical strength, balance, coordination, and mobility, while also supporting confidence, independence, emotional wellbeing, and social connection. For many participants, RDA is a vital part of their therapy, development, and community inclusion.

With 14 RDA centres across Queensland, and a network supporting people with disability across Australia, we know how important it is that the real-world impact of these reforms is understood.

RDAQ will continue to advocate, engage and make sure the voices of our participants, families, volunteers and centres are heard.

We’re proud to be at the table and part of the conversation. 🐴💙

Today we celebrate the amazing horses who give so much to so many. Their patience, kindness, and gentle nature help change lives every single day, building confidence, independence, strength, and smiles for riders of all abilities.

To every horse, pony, and their dedicated carers and volunteers—thank you for everything you do. We hope you’re all enjoying some extra treats, cuddles, and well-deserved pampering today!

A huge thank you to our incredible RDAQ coaches and who represented our centres at CanterCon.

Your commitment to learning, sharing ideas, and continually developing your skills is what makes the RDAQ community so strong. By investing your time and experience, you’re helping ensure that participants across Queensland receive safe, high-quality, and enjoyable riding experiences.

CanterCon provided a fantastic opportunity to connect with others in the equine industry, exchange knowledge, and bring home new ideas that will benefit our riders, horses, volunteers, and centres.

We are proud of the dedication, passion, and generosity shown by every coach and who attended. Thank you for everything you do to make a positive difference in the lives of people living with disability.

Together, we continue to build stronger centres, stronger communities, and brighter futures through the unique partnership between horses and people.
