Last week, the National Association of Women in Construction hosted a female-led, trade-based small business roundtable focused on the future of women in construction and driving meaningful industry change.
Facilitated by NAWIC CEO Cathryn Greville, roundtable brought together more than 12 women from across the industry, including trade-based small business owners, to share honest conversations, lived experiences, challenges, and opportunities. These insights will help inform future strategies, advocacy, and long-term change.
NAWIC is committed to proactively shaping the future of our industry. We know the voices of women in construction, particularly those who have transitioned from the tools into business ownership, matter deeply, and we remain focused on ensuring they are seen, heard, represented, and supported.
The conversations were powerful, authentic, and solutions-focused, with participants leaving with a strong sense of connection and shared purpose in building an industry where women are at the forefront of change.
A huge thank you to ADCO Constructions for hosting and supporting the roundtable and for your ongoing advocacy of women in construction. We are incredibly grateful for your support in creating a safe, collaborative space.
Thank you to Construction Skills Queensland - CSQ for funding this important initiative and recognising the value of investing in the future of women in construction and trade-based business leadership.
A special thank you to Queensland Building and Construction Commission - QBCC representative, Jo McKennariey for attending and contributing to these important conversations.
