The Yellow Butterfly Foundation aims undertake the following initiatives in Tammy’s honour:
- Yellow Butterfly Foundation Gallbladder Cancer Research Project Stage 1 – we raise the funds necessary to design and fund a Stage 1 Research Program that will provide the medical profession with more detailed knowledge of genetic triggers for Gallbladder Cancer. This research will be lead by Associate P
rofessor Paul Mainwaring and the world leading research team at the Australian Institute for Bioengineering and Nanotechnology at the University of Queensland.
- Yellow Butterfly Foundation Happiness and Kindness Schools Program – Design and roll-out of a school based talk program that encourages children to “be brave, be kind, always be happy and never give up”, including sponsorship of a regular Yellow Butterfly award in schools.
- Yellow Butterfly Kindness App - to realise our goal of unlocking kindness, happiness and strength we must 'promote' and 'enable' these wonderful traits. We will design, build and market an 'app' that ensures the community has mechanism to unlock the goodness in the hearts of humans. In doing so we will demonstrate to future generations that collective kindness, happiness and strength will always defeat hatred and terror in society.
