FOCUS Conversation Club Come and practice speaking English with local Australians at UQ. Tuesdays 2pm-3pm, for free! Organised by the Christian group Focus, part of UQES.

A lot of international students who come to Brisbane to learn English or to study say that they do not get many chances to practice speaking English in Australia. This makes learning English hard. To help international students learn English we organise Conversation Club where you can come and practice English speaking with Australians as you talk about a range of topics! We are here to help you b

ecome better and more confident at speaking English and to help you with any questions you might have about speaking English or living in Australia. Conversation Club is on every week on Wednesday afternoons at 2pm and it is completely free! We meet on the grass outside the UQ art gallery which is across the path from the large stone Forgan Smith building. If it is raining we go inside and find a room to practice English in. Come along and invite your friends too! Everybody is welcome! Conversation Club is organised by a Christian group called Focus, which is part of the Evangelical Students club at UQ.
