From traditional dances and vibrant costumes to music, movement and unforgettable performances, our cultural stage at Empowering People, Strengthening Queensland 2026 was a true celebration of Unity in Diversity.

Communities from different cultures and backgrounds came together to share their traditions, stories and talent, turning the stage into a colourful journey around the world. 🌍✨

Every performance brought its own identity, energy and heritage, while together they created something truly beautiful.

A huge THANK YOU to all our amazing performers, cultural groups, coordinators, volunteers and communities who shared their culture with Queensland. 🙏

These are more than just performances. They are traditions being shared, cultures being celebrated and communities coming together.

One of the highlights of Empowering People, Strengthening Queensland 2026 was the incredible diversity of stalls that brought communities, organisations, businesses and initiatives together under one roof.

🎥 In this video, our stallholders share a little about who they are, what they do and the activities, services and experiences they brought to the event.
From community organisations and cultural groups to businesses, information services and community initiatives, every stall added something unique to the celebration.

🎙️ Empowering Communities Through Leadership, Inclusion & Collaboration

One of the powerful segments from Empowering People, Strengthening Queensland 2026 was a thought-provoking panel discussion exploring what it takes to build stronger, more connected and inclusive communities across Queensland.

Hosted by Pele Jane Ramdhani the discussion brought together Senator Paul Scarr, Hermann Vorster MP, Cr Sandy Landers, Lisa Ward from ECCQ, and the Honourable Milton Dick MP , alongside the leadership of Bhartiya Samaj.

The conversation explored important themes around social cohesion, community connection, economic participation, grassroots empowerment, representation and creating genuine opportunities for multicultural communities.

Rather than simply celebrating diversity, the discussion looked at how communities, leaders and institutions can work together to create meaningful participation and stronger pathways for everyone.
