Members of the Cretan Association of Queensland along with other community representatives attended the feast day of St Anna on Saturday the 25th of July at the Greek Orthodox Church of St Anna Gold Coast Australia. The Hierarchical Matins and Divine Liturgy was conducted by His Grace Bishop Bartholomew of Brisbane followed by refreshments in the church hall.

Last night members of the Cretan Association of Queensland attended the 52nd Anniversary of the 1974 Turkish Invasion of Cyprus Commemoration and wreath laying service at St George Greek Orthodox Church of St George.

Thank you to the community of St John the Baptist Greek Orthodox Parish in Cairns for inviting the Cretan Association of Queensland Dancing group to participate in the consecration of the church ✝️.

It was a privilege and an honour to be part of such a historic and deeply significant occasion.

It was also a great pleasure to reconnect with His Eminence Archbishop Makarios of Australia, His Grace Bishop Bartholomew of Brisbane and His Grace Bishop Athinagoras of Canberra.

Congratulations on this remarkable achievement.

Thank you to our Cretan Dancing group and teachers for a fantastic performance at the 50th Anniversary of Paniyiri 🇬🇷

This year was particularly special as we joined the Hellenic Dancers and Cypriot Youth Brisbane Dance Group for a combined performance, celebrating and showcasing the traditions, culture, and heritage of all three groups.
