Come and visit us at the Cretan Stall at this year's Gold Coast Greek Festival where we’ll be cooking up a storm.

We’re looking for volunteers to help for a minimum of 3 hours on either Saturday the 31st of October or Sunday the 1st of November.

Members of the Cretan Association of Queensland and president Anthony Katsanevas were honoured to join the Asia Minor Greek Historical Society, Greek Orthodox parishes, communities and associations in commemorating the Asia Minor Holocaust of 1922.

Together, we remembered the victims, refugees and families affected by one of the most tragic chapters of Hellenic history. Αιωνία τους η μνήμη.
We extend our sincere thanks to His Grace Bishop Bartholomew for leading the moving memorial service.

We were also delighted to receive the wonderful news that Fr Anastasios Bozikis will be returning to our parish, St George Greek Orthodox Church, a blessing that was warmly received by all in attendance.

Members of the Cretan Association of Queensland along with other community representatives attended the feast day of St Anna on Saturday the 25th of July at the Greek Orthodox Church of St Anna Gold Coast Australia. The Hierarchical Matins and Divine Liturgy was conducted by His Grace Bishop Bartholomew of Brisbane followed by refreshments in the church hall.

Thank you to the community of St John the Baptist Greek Orthodox Parish in Cairns for inviting the Cretan Association of Queensland Dancing group to participate in the consecration of the church ✝️.

It was a privilege and an honour to be part of such a historic and deeply significant occasion.

It was also a great pleasure to reconnect with His Eminence Archbishop Makarios of Australia, His Grace Bishop Bartholomew of Brisbane and His Grace Bishop Athinagoras of Canberra.
