"Seeking Participants for Research Study on Missed Care in Australian Residential Aged Care"

Would you like to contribute to research in Residential Aged Care?
I am a PhD at Griffith University, researching "The Cause and Impact of Missed Care in Australian Residential Aged Care: Resident, Carer, Health Professional, and Healthcare Leader Experiences."

If you are a resident or have a loved one in aged care, a personal carer, a health professional, or an aged care leader with experience in Residential Aged Care Facilities, I would greatly appreciate your participation.

You will be asked to share your experiences and perspectives regarding missed care in Australian residential aged care services. For this study, missed care (MC) is any aspect of required care that is omitted (either in part or whole) or delayed. This includes all aspects of clinical, emotional, and administrative nursing care and is known to be detrimental to the quality of care provided in healthcare settings.

All information provided will be de-identified and kept confidential. No identifiable information will be shared in any forum, publication or research output. Participation in the study involves an interview, which will be conducted at a time and place convenient for you.

This study has received ethical approval (GU HREC 2024/158) from the Griffith University Human Ethics Committee.
