I know its been a minute since I poated anything on my page - sorry friends! But this is happening in my area, and it is so devastating to watch unfold. Please if you have a minute could you take a look at what is happening at Ormiston College, and show some support for the wildlife whose homes are being selfishly torn down 😓

This is “Leaf” , the Mummy koala with a baby Joey in her pouch, who is at great risk of losing more of her home in Ormiston College , in the Redlands , Queensland .
She has a satellite tagging system so that she can be tracked and monitored .
Redlands Council have spent $6 million dollars studying many of the koalas 🐨 in the Redlands in recent years , but what is the point of that science based evidence when a private school can ignore it and get its own report contradicting the RCC , and obtain approval from the LNP State Government to destroy so much vital core koala habitat , so fast , for a huge development ?

Btw, the Redlands City Council REJECTED that schools’ development proposal , so the school then bypassed the Redlands Council and managed to get approval from the LNP State Government instead , in case you have just noticed this situation on the news .

Two Redlands LNP MPs ( both State and Federal ) have children that attend that school , plus another attended that school herself . So you would expect that they would know EXACTLY what’s at risk for the koalas and other endangered wildlife that have made their homes within the school grounds or use it when they roam in that area ?

Please email Jarrod Bleijie MP David Crisafulli MP Henry Pike MPAmanda Stoker MP Rebecca Young MP Russell Field MP ( all LNP MPs ) and let them know your concerns about this destructive development at Ormiston College .

Hi friends 👋🙂 its been a minute since I offered boarding, but I am thinking about opening up my home again for a small number if the demand is still there.

I have facilities for birds, but I gave away my excess piggy supplies (doh) so if there is interest in piggy boarding I would need to get a set-up in place. I just wanted to put the feelers out there first 😊

For those local to Mount Cotton I am also doing home visit pet sitting for dogs/cats etc.

Hello friends! I have a looooot of pre-loved C&C grids, as well as second hand beds i.e. snuggle sacks etc that are not needed here anymore. If any other rescues or piggy owners can use any of it please feel free to get in touch, I would hate to throw them out if they can make some other piggies happy 😊

I've been putting off posting this because I couldnt emotionally bring myself to do it, but I want to start the new year fresh and hope to god it can only be better than 2025.

My darling Storm passed away unexpectedly on Boxing Day morning. She was absolutely thriving, so her sudden passing has hurt more than words can say. She was just so incredibly special and brave and beautiful 💕 She joins her 3 babies, all of whom were taken from me too early and too close together. A little family that have taken a piece of my heart away with them 💔

2025 absolutely crushed me, I lost almost all my remaining piggies, so my home feels emptier and my family feels smaller.

I dont know what next year will bring, but I welcome it with open arms ans can only hope it is an improvement on this last one 🤞

Yesterday I very unexpectedly found my beautiful old man Virgil in his forever sleep 😓 just an hour before that he had loudly convinced me to feed the piggies earlier than usual - he was absolutely fine 😢

Virgil felt like a permanent fixture here, I can't even clearly remember life without him around. He was the bestest boy, so chilled out that I could always rely on him to look after some of my other very special piggies that our long-term followers might recognise - Wally, Legs, Jesse, Nellie, Poppy and Paloma...❤️ sigh. Rest peacefully Virgil, baby.

2025 has been incredibly challenging. I have lost so many of our special piggies, many of whom I never would've imagined not seeing the year out 😞

Today was one of the roughest days I have had in a while 😔 I made the impossible and heartbreaking decision to say goodbye to our special boys, Foggy and Daredevil.

I am really struggling to put words to this post tonight (and I am sad there is a limit of 10 photos because I have so many of these dudes!)...I just wanted to give an update for those who were thinking of the boys today 😓💔

Daredevil and Foggy were so incredibly special and stoic, and I feel blessed to have had them in my life for as long as I did. Our 3 special cesarean piglets leave behind their brave mama Storm, which breaks me a little, but I will continue to give her all the love in the world until she can join her babies again 💕

Massive thanks as usual to our amazing vet team, who genuinely seem to love my piggies as much as I do, and make these hard moments a little more bearable 🥺💐

Things are a bit stressful at our home at the moment 😔 our lethal brothers are both now doing really poorly as a result of dental issues. Foggy may have his first dental procedure today, and Daredevil is tagging along to the vet as his recovery from last week has not been as good as we hoped.

Please keep them in your thoughts. The boys are over 3 and a half years old now and I appreciate that they've done so well for compromised piggies ❤️ theyre so very special to me.
