🌿 We’re hiring: First Nations Identified Case Managers – BEROS

Community Living Association Inc is looking for 2 x First Nations Identified Case Managers to join the BEROS team.
Locations: Brisbane/Moreton Bay and Sunshine Coast/Gympie
Employment: Full-time, 38 hours per week, 12-month contract
Classification: SCHADS Level 4 or 5, depending on qualifications and experience

BEROS supports young people aged 12 to 18 who are in the care of Child Safety and are staying away from approved placements, sleeping rough, or staying somewhere unsafe or unstable.

This role is about building trust, listening well, supporting safety and connection, and walking alongside young people as they work towards their own goals.

We would love to hear from Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander applicants who bring cultural knowledge, strong relationship skills, and experience working with young people, families and communities.

✨ We’re hiring – Constituent Board Member Support Officer✨

Community Living Association (CLA) is currently recruiting for a Constituent Board Member Support Officer.

This casual role involves helping members prepare for meetings, understand Board papers, ask questions, follow discussions, and share their own views. The role is about supporting people’s decision making — not making decisions for them.

About the role:

Casual position
Approximately 5 hours every 6 weeks
Face-to-face support required
Meetings are generally held at Nundah or Chermside libraries
SCHADS Level 3 or 4, depending on experience
Governance or committee experience would be valued

We are looking for someone with strong communication skills, respect for confidentiality, and experience supporting people with intellectual disability.

We are incredibly proud of everything this group has accomplished, from building practical environmental and conservation skills to growing confidence, teamwork and connections within the community.

CLA proudly acknowledged this week – Sunday July 5th to Sunday July 12th - as NAIDOC week. This year’s theme is “50 Years of Deadly”, acknowledging the history and significance of NAIDOC week:

“50 Years of Deadly
For five decades, NAIDOC Week has celebrated the voices of our communities — steady, unapologetic, and proud. Each year, its themes have called for truth, celebrated culture, honoured resistance, and reminded the nation of who we are.

Fifty Years of Deadly marks a milestone. It’s a tribute to the people who built this movement. the Elders who stood firm, the organisers who made space, the artists who turned resistance into expression, and the communities who keep showing up, year after year.

NAIDOC has always been more than a week — it’s a platform, a protest, a celebration, and a statement of survival.

This moment is about looking back at the stories, the marches, the languages, the art, the leadership. At the strength it took to get here. It’s about recognising how far we’ve come, not by chance, but because generations of people refused to be silenced.

It’s also about the here and now, who we are today. Grounded in culture. Strong in our identity. Leading change across every field, from health and education to media, business, and the arts. We’re telling our own stories, in our own way, on our own terms.

And it’s about the future. The next 50 years. The young ones growing up proud. The return of language. The return to Country. The fight for justice continuing with new tools, new voices, and the same fire.
