Unfortunately, the wet weather struck again, and only a handful of teams were able to play on the weekend. This week's forecast is looking much better, so we are hoping to see the full complement of Holland Park teams playing in the winter sunshine on Saturday.

No 50s or 4 wicket hauls, just a whole pile of grit and resillence from the U15 Lightning on Saturday.

The team was reduced to 9 after illness ravaged the team camp.

The Lightning spirits were still high and the boys worked hard to keep their opponents to a chaseable score.

Skipper Clancy Burke captained the boys with his trademark enthusiasm and a critical 3 wickets with his leg spin. Today’s picture captures just one of these wicket celebrations.

Zoravr Sarai was also rewarded with 3 wickets.

Well done boys, we are proud of your character far more than results on the field.
