URGENT HELP EVERYONE PLEASE HELP: A Family Faces Death in Seven Days Without Immediate Help

Ibrahim Danish and his young family have just DAYS before they are forcibly deported from Pakistan to Taliban-controlled Afghanistan, where they face certain death.

Ibrahim is a certified humanitarian visa applicant under Australia’s Locally Engaged Employee (LEE) program — officially recognised for his work with Save the Children Australia. His wife worked for Afghan women’s welfare. The Taliban have marked the family for EX*****ON because of this work.

They have followed every rule. So has their Australian sponsor. The only reason this family is still in danger is due to bureaucratic delays and government bungling (lost paperwork) in Australia.

Despite months of desperate communication, screening, document chasing, even a painful decision by his elderly parents to stay behind, to improve their grandchildren’s chances at survival, the family still have no visa, and no answers. The Pakistani police now visit daily, threatening deportation. The visa expires 12 September. There are no more extensions.

This is a solvable crisis. It would take just one person in the Department of Home Affairs to sign off and save these lives.

Two innocent children. A mother. A father. A FAMILY AUSTRALIA PROMISED TO PROTECT. Daniel is SIX. Helen is TWO YEARS OLD.

Join us on Sunday 14th September at 2pm outside the ABC Studios in South Brisbane. Demand the ABC stop providing lip service for genocide!

Israel refuses to allow journalists entry into Gaza and intentionally targets Palestinian journalists. More than 270 Palestinian journalists have been murdered by Israel in targeted attacks since October 2023. This is more than four times the number of journalists killed in the entirety of WWII.

“You only target journalists when your enemy is the truth.”

The ABC is running cover for genocide. Following Antoinette Lattouf’s unfair dismissal, the ABC has unveiled a draconian social media policy for its employees which may impinge on workers’ civil liberties. This is our national broadcaster, with a $1 billion annual budget, which rather than examine its own complicity in promoting Israeli propaganda would instead crack down on workers’ rights to freedom of speech on their own personal platforms.
