The Nepalese Association of Queensland Inc. (NAQ) kindly invites all members and the community to attend our Annual General Meeting (AGM).

Nepalese Association of Queensland (NAQ) delighted to invite you to join in celebration of International Yoga Day 2026, organised by Hindu Council of Australia - QLD Chapter and Hindu Swayamsevak Sangh Queensland and supported by many multicultural organisations in Queensland.

Theme: Supporting Brisbane's Active and Healthy Vision

This special community event aims to promote health, harmony, mindfulness, and unity through the practice of yoga while bringing together people from all backgrounds in the spirit of wellbeing and peace.

The morning will include guided yoga sessions suitable for all ages and abilities, followed by light refreshments. Family and friends are warmly welcome.

We would be honoured by your presence and support at this important community celebration. Your participation will greatly encourage and inspire our community members.

Thank you, Corrine McMillan MP - State Member for Mansfield, for your continued support of the NAQ - Nepalese Association of Queensland Inc.and our Pathsala (Language and Cultural School) initiative.

Pathsala plays an important role in preserving the Nepali language, culture, and heritage for future generations while helping young people stay connected to their roots.

We are excited about the growing interest in our program and are hopeful to establish a new Pathsala in the Mount Gravatt or Rochdale area soon, making it more accessible to families in the local community.

Thank you for supporting multicultural communities and initiatives that strengthen cultural understanding and community connections across Queensland.

This week I had the pleasure of meeting with members of the Nepalese Association of Queensland.

It's always great to meet with diverse groups and organisations, and I'm looking forward to working with them more in the future.

Get ready to celebrate the most vibrant festival in the Nepalese cultural calendar! We are thrilled to invite you to an enchanting afternoon and evening at our Teej Dar Program & Mela.

📅 When: Saturday, 12 September 2026
🕔 Time: 4:00 pm onwards (Stay tuned for exact timings!)

This ticketed event is set to be a highlight of the season! Come and immerse yourself in the festive spirit with traditional Teej singing and dancing, lively cultural performances, and a special guest artist to entertain us through the evening. Delicious food will be available at the venue to ensure a true "Dar" experience.

📢 Important Note: This announcement is specifically for the Teej Dar Program & Mela only. A separate announcement will be made shortly regarding the traditional Teej Puja program scheduled for Monday, 14 September.

Congratulations to the Southside Social Club team, community members, and volunteers for organizing such a fantastic sporting event.

It was truly a wonderful day, bringing people together through sports, friendship, and community spirit. Everyone involved had a great time and thoroughly enjoyed the event.

On behalf of the NAQ - Nepalese Association of Queensland Inc., we extend our sincere appreciation to all the organizers, participants, supporters, and volunteers whose hard work and dedication made the event such a success.

NAQ has always been committed to supporting community sports, language, arts, and cultural activities across Queensland.
