Today, we rallied outside the Brisbane Convention and Exhibition Centre with a clear message for Premier Crisafulli & Deputy Premier Belijie: DON’T TRASH OUR SAFETY LAWS.

In the middle of Safe Work Month, the Premier spoke at an event sponsored by Cleanaway, a company linked to five worker deaths in just two years.

Just last week, Safe Work Australia revealed that 222 Australian workers, including 45 Queenslanders, were killed at work in 2025 — the deadliest year since 2012.
Yet the Crisafulli Government continues to threaten workers' rights, workplace safety protections and access to workers' compensation.

Our frontline public sector workers are already facing occupational violence, trauma and abuse simply doing their jobs. With psychological injuries a serious and growing concern, the last thing they need is more barriers to compensation and support.

Queensland workers deserve better. Protect the people who protect Queensland ✊

Queensland workers rights are under attack by the LNP.

The Crisafulli-Bleijie Government has announced sweeping changes to Queensland's industrial relations laws that will weaken workers ability to collectively bargain for better wages and conditions, take industrial action and access union representation.

Today, Jarrod Bleijie announced sweeping changes to Queensland’s workers’ compensation system that could make it harder for workers suffering psychological injuries to access the support they need.

Under the LNP’s proposed changes, workers would face a tougher test to prove their psychological injury was caused by their job.

Police officers, nurses, teachers, paramedics, child safety officers and corrections staff face violence, trauma and abuse while doing their jobs.

They put their health and safety on the line to protect Queenslanders. Now the LNP wants to make it harder for them to get help when they get hurt.

Queensland workers deserve safer workplaces, proper support and fair access to compensation. Not another fight with their own government.

Protect the people who protect Queensland.
