The Power of Club Mateship: Saying Goodbye (For Now) to Martin 🌲✈️

If anyone ever asks why joining a 4WD club is worth it, this is the exact reason. It is all about the instant mateship.

It feels like just yesterday Martin joined the crew back in April. Even in that short time, he has become a massive part of this 4WD family. From tackling the toughest tracks to sharing laughs around the campfire, Martin fit right into the convoy from day one.

That is the beauty of this community👉you can start as strangers and become lifelong mates in just a few months.

While we are absolutely gutted to see him leave our dusty Australian tracks to head back home to Norway, we know this isn’t a permanent sign-off.

The recovery gear is packed, but Martin's spot in the lineup will always be waiting. The red dirt has a way of calling people back, and we know those stunning Norwegian fjords will eventually lead him right back to the bush.

In the words of the wise, it's not goodbye, it's have a great holiday and see you when you get back! 🦘🇳🇴

Safe travels, mate. Thank you for the epic memories, the brilliant spotters' help, and the unmatched camp company. Until the next creek crossing!👋

🚙💨 Driver Awareness Program (DAP) this weekend 22/23 August🏕🏕🏕

New and/or potential members: come learn the skills to drive your 4WD safely!

The Schedule:
Saturday Morning: Theory session followed by safe recovery demonstrations and practical training.
Saturday Night: Camp overnight and socialise by the campfire.
Sunday Morning: Convoy drive around the property.
Property Facilities: Campfire, toilet, and shower facilities are provided on-site.
What to Bring: BYO drinking water and vehicle recovery gear.

Your vehicle must have rated recovery points on both the front and rear to participate.🛠

Existing Members: You are very welcome to join us starting Saturday afternoon to camp overnight and catch up with the DAP participants.📧

What a massive day at Bunnings! 🌭🔥Our latest fundraising BBQ was an absolute cracker of a success. We kept the grill sizzling all day long, turning out hundreds of sausages to feed the hungry masses. Seeing so many smiling faces made every second worth it.

Beyond serving up some top-tier snags, we smashed our goals by connecting with our local community. We walked away with several fantastic new contacts and a bunch of potential new members who are eager to hit the tracks with us.

A massive thank you to everyone who dropped by to support us, and an even bigger shoutout to our incredible club volunteers who worked tirelessly over the hot plates plus planning and prep work

You all made the BBQ a triumph!

Can you believe it? 2027 marks half a century since a group of local enthusiasts first got together and founded the Qld Nissan Patrol 4WD Club Inc.
To celebrate 50 years of dirt, dust, and incredible camaraderie, we’ve put together a massive calendar of events for 2027. Whether you were with us in the early days or joined more recently, we want to see you there!

🎄🎶 Christmas Party - Hoedown in the country. Bring your dancing boots and fun attitude for a weekend of celebrating. Onsite accommodation for non-campers available.

Come on down, grab a delicious sausage & drink, and chat about all things four-wheel driving with the team. Whether you want to talk tracks, gear, or upcoming trips, we would love to see you there!

🚨 VENUE CHANGE FOR MONDAY'S GENERAL MEETING (20 July 2026) 🚨Calling all members, friends, and newcomers! It’s time to get together for our July meeting and talk all things 4WD.

🚙Due to the Mt Gravatt Show being on, we cannot access our usual venue this coming Monday night. For one night only, we have secured a fantastic alternative location.

No other changes apply👉 the start time remains exactly the same!

The new location is fully accessible with ramps, a lift to the hall, onsite parking, and a kitchen so we can still enjoy our usual supper.

What’s better than a mud-splattered rig? The look on a new member's face when they realize what their 4WD can actually do! 🚙

💥Our latest Driver Awareness Program (DAP) recruits absolutely crushed the tracks. They spent a recent weekend proving those low-range gears aren't just there for decoration.

The absolute showstopper of the weekend came from our very own Kerrie. She sent it down a steep descent into a wicked, sidewards downhill drift👉completely controlled, textbook ex*****on, and seriously impressive. Absolute legend move! 🏆 You could tell Robin was so proud. ☺️

🙌Back at camp, clubbers kicked back around the newly upgraded fire pit for happy hour. This is the traditional part of our events everyone looks forward to.🍻🔥Massive shoutout to everyone who tackled the tracks.
